Passaic County Strip Club Owner Charged with Sexually Assaulting a Dancer

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office , a 62-year-old strip club owner, from Ho-Ho-Kus, is being accused of sexually assaulting a dancer on Sept. 28 in the VIP room of Johnny A’s Hitching Post in Paterson, according to a June 9 news release from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Juvenile Charged With Attempted Murder in Hackensack Deli Shooting

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of a JUVENILE on charges of attempted murder, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of hollow nose ammunition.  The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Deputy Chief Darrin DeWitt.

Apple Gets into Lending

Ridgewood NJ, Apple will handle the lending for its new buy now, pay later service through its subsidiary Apple Financing LLC. The subsidiary is licensed to provide lending services and will remain separate from Apple’s main business. It is the first time that Apple will take on financial responsibilities like credit checks and lending. The company will run soft credit checks when customers apply for its Pay Later service. It will not extend additional credit to users who miss a payment, although missed payments won’t count against users’ overall credit score.

NJ Business Owners Worried About Employees Reporting To Work High On Marijuana

The state agency mandated to regulate the new recreational marijuana industry, which was launched six weeks ago in New Jersey, has yet to provide basic rules for identifying workers high on weed, according to a report on nj.com. The lack of rules on how to deal with employees who test positive for traces of marijuana in their system is a cause of frustration for many business executives. State Senator Anthony Bucco said that cannabis is now legal for sale, so there’s a likelihood workers will report to the workplace impaired. The senator adds it can be dangerous in a manufacturing plant, hospital, construction site, or transport industry, where the slightest level of impairment could cause fatal accidents.

Paramus NJ, Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced today that the State has filed a lawsuit against New Jersey cosmetology school Capri Institute and, in a separate action filed with the State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling (“the Board”), is also seeking the immediate suspension of the school’s licenses to operate in the state, amid allegations that the school defrauded students, engaged in substandard business practices that financially harmed students, and failed to meet regulations and curriculum requirements for cosmetology schools.
