Washington DC, the Interior Department recommends taking steps to increase fees for drilling on public lands, arguing that taxpayers are currently being shortchanged. The department says that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) should carry out several policies that increase these rates. Drilling on public lands represents 7 percent of domestically produced oil and 8 percent of domestically produced natural gas.

Over a year and a half later, no cost analysis has been shared with the public, yet the Administration continues to move forward on its implementation.

Ridgewood NJ, Microsoft will add redesigned emoji in the next Windows 11 update. The new emoji match up better with Apple’s, Google’s, and Samsung’s designs. There are a few Microsoft-specific touches, such as a “Mr. Clippy” design for the paperclip emoji. The update is optional for now. It will be installed automatically for users next month. Windows 10 users will not be getting the new emoji designs.

Ridgewood NJ, today marks the 400th anniversary of Thanksgiving . The first Thanksgiving was celebrated after the harvest 400 years ago this autumn, in 1621. The exact date is unknown. The feast was celebrated by the Pilgrims, the breakaway Puritan sect that founded Plymouth Plantation in Massachusetts in 1620, and it was joined by the neighboring Native American tribe, the Wampanoags.
