Hackensack Police Department Gets Its First Chief In 14 Years

Hackensack NJ, the City of Hackensack is proud to announce the appointment of Michael Antista as the city’s new Chief of Police, marking the first time in 14 years the position has been filled. This historic appointment is the culmination of a broader series of reforms implemented by Mayor John Labrosse and the City Council to enhance public safety and improve police department operations. The City held an official swearing-in ceremony for Chief Antista this past Tuesday night, during a special City Council meeting.

Ridgewood, NJ  · according to Ridgewood Village Manager Keith Kazmark , Bergen County has started ADA handicap ramp replacement on Ackerman Avenue in preparation for re-surfacing. There have been many resident requests to pave Ackerman and the Village is thankful to the county for addressing this busy roadway in town. Stay tuned for the milling and paving schedule!

Ridgewood Water Begins Annual Hydrant Flushing October 27th

Ridgewood Nj, every October, Ridgewood Water flushes all hydrants in the system as part of our routine maintenance. Automatic sprinkler systems can impact hydrant flushing, so please have your system drained and winterized by October 27th. Hydrant flushing will begin on Sunday, October 27th at 9:00 pm and continue for two weeks.
