Big Bait Catches Big Rat: Glen Rock Commuter Bike Thief Caught With GPS Tracker on Decoy Bicycle

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock police, in their efforts to investigate a series of bicycle thefts at local train stations, employed technology and assistance from their borough’s fire chief to apprehend a suspect. Detectives affixed a GPS tracker to a decoy bicycle, referred to as a “bait bike,” which they placed at the NJ TRANSIT Bergen Line station. On a Friday afternoon, the bait bike was taken from the rack, prompting the police to respond immediately.

East Rutherford NJ, at approximately 1:30 PM, October 28th the Hackensack Fire Department Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Rescue, in collaboration with several UASI Fire Departments, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and expertise in response to a building collapse incident at 170 Union Street, East Rutherford. The coordinated effort resulted in the successful rescue of a heavily entrapped victim.

In this report, we look at how the NJEA has taken its political activities to the next level by inserting itself – and teachers – into this fall’s school board elections. The shared title of Sunlight’s two reports comes from an NJEA Summer Collaborative called “Teaching Is Political.” The NJEA likes to claim that others are seeking to “politicize our public schools,” but by its own words and actions, it is the NJEA that is bringing politics into schools and school districts around the state.

This would make sense, as a dark money Super PAC would complement the other parts of the NJEA’s multi-pronged, statewide campaign to fight the wave of parental activism in school districts across the state.
