The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Moonachie Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens.

Bomb Scare Hits Fair Lawn Synagogue

Fair Lawn NJ, an apparent telephone hoax in which two (2) pipe bombs were reported to have been left inside of a synagogue located on Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn resulted in a massive response by emergency personnel from multiple agencies on Thursday evening, 09/14. All occupants of the synagogue were quickly evacuated as were residents from several nearby homes. A residential street facing the house of worship was cleared of all parked vehicles, and a loudspeaker announcement warned residents to stay inside of their homes or leave the area. An “all clear” signal was broadcast within 90 minutes of the bogus telephone call after a physical search produced negative results.

Ridgewood NJ, as part of its 40th anniversary celebration of NJ TRANSIT Rail Operations, NJ TRANSIT honored the “Forty Year Club,” which consists of 28 employees who have been with the railroad or its corporate predecessors since the initiation of Rail Operations service in 1983. At today’s Board of Directors meeting, a proclamation was presented to this distinguished group by NJDOT Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Rail Operations James A. Sincaglia.

7-year-old Boy’s Death in Fort Lee Ruled a Tragic Accident

Fort Lee NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fort Lee Police Department have determined that the circumstances surrounding the death of a 7-year-old boy at a residential apartment complex on Anderson Avenue yesterday were the result of a tragic accident and no criminal activity was involved. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 5:29 p.m., the Fort Lee Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a report that a 7-year-old boy had fallen from an upper-floor windowThe child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and ultimately pronounced deceased.

Spot Light On First Responders: Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department Six Runs in One Hour

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, within an hour on September 8th the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department responded to over six runs in the borough and Teterboro. In addition to several fire alarm runs, members responded to Teterboro for a fully involved vehicle fire with live wires down on top of it. Thankfully, there were no injuries and Mutual aid was provided by the Little Ferry Fire Department who assisted on the scene.
