Fairview NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANGEL CHAVIX (DOB: 01/01/1998; single; framer) of North Bergen, NJ on charges of sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief James Parker, and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief David Brennan.

Survey Finds New Jerseyans Show Highest Levels of Resistance to Return to the Office Post COVID

Ridgewood NJ, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the dynamics of workplaces around the globe. The adaptation to remote work has also been advantageous for many employees. Parents have found it easier to balance familial responsibilities, and others have invested in home office setups or relocated further from their workplaces. However, for the past three years, tens of millions of office workers have navigated through an ever-evolving landscape of working from home and intermittent attempts to return to the office. However, a recent survey conducted by Authority Hacker throws light on employees’ perspectives on returning to the office, showing that the majority are reluctant to give up the flexibility they have grown accustomed to.

New Jersey’s Offshore Wind Farm Developer Misses Earnings Expectations

Atlantic City NJ, , Denmark’s Orsted (ORSTED.CO), the world’s No. 1 offshore wind farm developer, on Thursday reported second-quarter operating profit below expectations and confirmed its full-year guidance. Second-quarter earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) excluding new partnerships fell 8% from a year earlier to 3.32 billion Danish crowns ($489.56 million), compared with the 3.85 billion expected by analysts in a Refinitiv poll. Orsted kept its 2023 forecast for EBITDA excluding new partnerships unchanged at between 20 billion and 23 billion crowns.”However, compared to the guidance provided in our annual report for 2022, we now expect higher earnings in Offshore than initially announced,” Chief Executive Mads Nipper said in a statement. ($1 = 6.7816 Danish crowns)

Driver Extradited from Vehicle after it Slammed into a Utility Pole in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, the adult driver of a KIA Sportage was extradited from her vehicle after it slammed into a utility pole and rolled over in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, Glen Rock on Tuesday afternoon, 08/15. The victim was transported by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital and Glen Rock Fire Department also responded to the incident. PSE&G Electric Division and Verizon crews began restoring service after a tow truck righted the vehicle and removed it from the scene.

Injuries Reported at T-Bone crash on Hillman Avenue in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, two (2) injuries were reported following a two (2) vehicle, T-Bone crash in the 100 block of Hillman Avenue, Glen Rock on Tuesday morning, 08/15. Glen Rock EMS transported an adult victim with a leg injury to The Valley Hospital by ambulance. A juvenile victim with a hip injury was attended to by EMTs on location and subsequently released to a parent. Both vehicles involved in the mishap were towed from the scene by a flatbed. Glen Rock Police also responded to the incident.

Paramus NJ, Miraculously, no one was injured when a vehicle slammed into the front of an occupied East Midland Avenue, Paramus hair salon on Tuesday morning, 08/15. Paramus Police, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the incident. The vehicle, a 4-door Volvo sedan, was towed from the scene by a flatbed.

Hillsdale NJ, this morning at 5:11 am the Hillsdale Fire Department was dispatched to a house under construction with visible smoke showing . Woodcliff Lake Truck 7 was also dispatched . Hillsdale Fire Department Deputy 3 arrived at the scene confirming a working fire in a 2 1/2 story residence.

Mahwah NJ, the township of Mahwah is spraying for Spotted Lanternfly.  Spotted Lanternfly (SLF), Lycorma delicatula, is an invasive plant hopper native to China, India, and Vietnam; it is also established in South Korea, Japan and the U.S. It was first discovered in the U.S. in Pennsylvania in Berks County in 2014 and has spread to other counties in PA, as well as the states of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Connecticut and Ohio.
