Ridgewood NJ, NJDOL’s Division of Wage and Hour and Contract Compliance has the authority to immediately halt work at any public or private worksite – both construction and non-construction – when an investigation finds evidence an employer has violated state wage, benefit or tax laws. Examples include: misclassifying employees as independent contractors; not having appropriate workers’ compensation insurance; failing to pay prevailing wage or overtime; or paying workers partially, late, or off the books.

Maywood Intersection Accident Leaves one Victim Trapped in Vehicle , then Rushed to HUMC

Maywood NJ, on Monday at approximately 11:50am City of Hackensack Deputy 2 and Rescue 1 responded with mutual aid to Maywood at the intersection of Maywood Ave and Howcroft Road on reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Upon arrival they found two car motor vehicle accident with one vehicle operator entrapped and injured. Maywood Fire Company Engine stretched and charged a hose-line as Rescue 1 used Holmatro cutter and spreader to remove drivers side door. HUMC BLS stabilized the patient and Rescue 1 assisted with removing the driver from the vehicle and packaging the patient for transport to HUMC.

East Rutherford NJ, NJ TRANSIT is advancing plans to implement environmentally friendly transit access between its Secaucus Junction Station and the Meadowlands Sports and Entertainment Complex. The Secaucus to Meadowlands Transitway will utilize mostly existing infrastructure and roadways to provide additional capacity. The project also includes construction of a new ground level terminal at the Meadowlands and modifications to the existing bus circulation configuration and terminal at Secaucus Junction, to seamlessly and continuously move a stadium’s worth of people between Secaucus Junction and the Meadowlands Sports and Entertainment Complex, anchored by MetLife Stadium, seven miles away.

Governor Murphy Announces Filing of Lawsuit to Block New York’s Proposed Congestion Tolling Program

Fort Lee NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today announced the filing of a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to block the ill-conceived ( NJ does not get any of the money)  congestion pricing plan put forward by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and New York City and State agencies. In the suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the State of New Jersey argues that the USDOT and the FHWA violated the National Environmental Protection Act, which requires a full environmental impact review for projects of this projected impact and scope, as well as the Clean Air Act.

It is designed to make ChatGPT quicker and more helpful as a virtual assistant. Custom Instructions is available now for ChatGPT Plus subscribers everywhere but the UK and EU on an opt-in basis. The feature is still in beta. It works everywhere that ChatGPT does.

Amongst many examples of water wastage, one is directly associated with sprinklers — people turn on sprinklers but forget to turn them off! Therefore, the concept of smart irrigation was founded to ensure the right technology is being used at the right time.
