Downed Tree Limb Knocks Out Power on Ackerman Avenue in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, PSE&G’s web site reported less than five (5) customers were without electric power late Sunday afternoon, 06/04, as a result of a downed tree limb in the 500 block of Ackerman Avenue, Glen Rock. Glen Rock Police  officers provided traffic control throughout the incident. No injuries were reported and property damage was limited to damaged lawns & garden shrubbery.

NJ TRANSIT REMINDS CUSTOMERS: “DON’T BE HASTY, OBSERVE SAFETY” DURING NATIONAL SAFETY MONTH

Ridgewood NJ, NJ TRANSIT is utilizing June, designated as “National Safety Month” by the National Safety Council, to launch an educational campaign for customers and employees.  This year’s theme is “Don’t Be Hasty, Observe Safety.” The month will feature tips and reminders to reinforce safety on and near the transit system throughout New Jersey.  While the campaign will run during June, safety is a core value at NJ TRANSIT and it remains the highest priority throughout the year.

Eva Zazzali Wins Inaugural bergenPAC Executive Producer’s Award

Englewood  NJ, Eva Zazzali, a sophomore at the Academy of the Holy Angels, just won the inaugural bergenPAC Executive Producer’s Award. Zazzali was recognized for her portrayal of Viola in AHA’s spring 2023 production of “Twelfth Night the Musical.” Awards were presented May 22 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood.

Members also took time after to familiarize themselves with different buildings in their response area. Later on the same day the department responded to another brush fire on Harrison Avenue.
