Firefighters Quickly Extinguished a Fire at the Crows Nest Restaurant in Hackensack

Hackensack NJ, at approximately 1200pm Saturday the City of Hackensack Fire Department First Platoon was dispatched to reported kitchen fire at 309 Vincent Avenue , aka The Crows Nest . Arriving units investigated and found no fire in the kitchen. Further investigation revealed fire on the roof deck extending to an exterior office door frame.

Exercise caution in handling emails with bank-related subject lines, attachments, or links. In addition, be wary of social media pleas, texts, or door-to-door solicitations relating to any failed bank.

Saddle River Suspends its Controversial Deer Culling Program after Five Years

Saddle River NJ, the borough of Saddle River  is suspending its controversial deer culling program after five years, it was the only such program in Bergen County. The Borough council approved a wildlife management plan in 2018 aimed at reducing its burgeoning deer population through “culling” during the deer hunting season from September to February. The ordinance also allowed the killing of coyotes that hunters come across during their deer hunts.
