NJ Survey: Chronic Software Developer Shortage Remains Top Challenge in 2023

Cranbury NJ, even amidst recent layoffs in the tech industry, recruiting developers with the right skills remains the top challenge for 2023, according to the new Reveal survey of 2,228 software developers and IT professionals released by Infragistics today. More than a third of respondents (37.5%) indicated that they will continue to have trouble finding skilled developers in 2023 with DevOps Engineer, Data Analytics Developer, and IT Security Engineer identified as the hardest jobs to fill.

River Road in Fair Lawn Temporary Closed After Car Strikes Utility Pole

Fair lawn NJ, a single vehicle Friday afternoon, 02/24, crash in the 300 block of River Road, Fair Lawn, resulted in a non-life threatening injury to the vehicle’s driver, and the temporary closure of River Road near the crash site. A utility pole was damaged in the mishap, but there were no reported disruptions to utility services in the area. A tow truck removed the wreckage from the roadway. Fair Lawn Police, Fair Lawn EMS, and a paramedic team from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center responded to the incident.

Car Careens off Route 17 South Into Guard Rail in Ho-Ho-Kus

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a Friday afternoon, 02/24, two (2) vehicle crash on Route 17 southbound in Ho-Ho-Kus sent a white colored Honda CRV careening off of the traveled lanes and onto the right shoulder where it came to rest partially up on a guardrail. The other vehicle involved, a convertible VW Beetle, sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Honda was towed. No injuries were reported in the incident, which was investigated by Ho-Ho-Kus Police with the assistance of Saddle River Police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office roving SWAT Team. Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department also responded to the mishap.

Threat actors seek out tax information, including W-2 information and personally identifiable information (PII) – such as Social Security numbers (SSNs), dates of birth, bank account or credit card numbers, and drivers’ license numbers.
