FDA Panel Endorses Eli Lilly’s Experimental Alzheimer’s Drug Donanemab

Ridgewood NJ, in a significant development, outside advisers to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) unanimously endorsed the efficacy of Eli Lilly’s experimental Alzheimer’s drug, donanemab, for patients with early Alzheimer’s disease. This vote precedes the FDA’s impending decision on the drug’s approval. The panel’s discussion highlighted some unique aspects of Lilly’s trial, which differed notably from the trial design of Eisai and Biogen’s Leqembi, another Alzheimer’s drug that recently gained U.S. approval following a similar advisory committee review.

Ridgewood’s Schools Superintendant & BOE President Both Say BOE DID NOT Help Prepare Schedler Development Application

Ridgewood NJ, in response to questions posed by at least two (2) members of the public during Monday night’s BOE meeting, Ridgewood Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Schwarz and BOE President Sheila Brogan both publicly said this – “No public or private meetings” were held between any BOE representative(s) and anyone from the Village of Ridgewood concerning preparation of the recent application for development of the Schedler property. In short, the application was prepared & submitted without the BOE’s input or review.

More Red Lobster Locations May Shut Down, Including One in Paramus

The company filed for bankruptcy last month, citing over a billion dollars in debt. Delay in Artificial Turf Field Plan at Historic Zabriskie-Schedler House Due to Soil Contamination

Ridgewood NJ, a controversial plan to construct an artificial turf field at the historic Zabriskie-Schedler House in Ridgewood has been put on indefinite hold after soil tests revealed contamination. The soil, used to build a noise reduction berm, was found to contain lead, mercury, and two probable carcinogens: Benz(a)Anthracene and Benz(a)pyrene.

In a concerning parallel to Ridgewood’s proposed Schedler field, Montclair is also grappling with fears of PFAS contamination from artificial turf. The Montclair Board of Education (BOE) and School District claim that the turf they’re installing is PFAS-free, relying on a 2019 test provided by their contractor. However, a 2023 test proves otherwise, and even the manufacturer admits the presence of PFAS. Despite this, the BOE has been unresponsive for eight months and has now taken delivery of the artificial turf containing PFAS. To add to the frustration, their lawyers issued a statement suggesting, “nothing to see here.”
