However the company said it is abandoning an attempt to put its Peregrine spacecraft on the moon less than 24 hours after the vehicle took flight. Trenton NJ, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, along with the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (HTS), today announced a substantial reduction in traffic-related fatalities in 2023. According to preliminary data as of January 8, 2024, fatal crashes in the state decreased by 9.4%, dropping from 646 in 2022 to 585 in 2023. This positive trend has resulted in an overall 10.4% reduction in fatalities from 2023 to 2022, declining from 689 in 2022 to 617 in 2023, and a 11.5% decrease from the 2021 traffic fatality total of 697.
