Ridgewood NJ, This is Mayor Ramon Hache. The Village of Ridgewood has been continually working with public agencies including the Department of Health, Bergen County Executive and the Office of Emergency Management.
In the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare of our residents and other persons within the Village of Ridgewood, it has been determined that certain measures must be taken to insure that the authorities will be unhampered in their efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19. Effective immediately, and until further notice, a State of Emergency has been declared within the Village of Ridgewood.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Mayor Ramon M. Hache  says ,”social distancing is the most effective way to contain and prevent the spread of the virus” in a Facebook post the Mayor reiterated suggestions of the department of health.
 The Mayor said ,”I urge everyone to please take the recommendations of the Department of Health regarding social distancing seriously. At this time, while we are investigating the details regarding confirmed cases, social distancing is the most effective way to contain and prevent the spread of the virus. If you have to be around other people, keep a minimum distance of 6 feet between you when possible, and avoid large social gatherings.”

“My name is Ryan Ang from Ang1 Trainings . I am a 16 year old Filipino basketball trainer located in Bergen County . Due to the recent outbreak  of COVID 19 ,athletes have not been able to participate in any basketball activities including personal and group training in fear of catching the Coronavirus . Moreover I am unable to conduct my training sessions as it might jeopardize the health and safety of both myself and the athletes . Despite all the negative effects of COVID 19 ,there is come positivity beyond the virus . I have developed a way athletes can train with me without jeopardizing my safety and their safety. I will be conducting online training through the use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram .My first ever free online training session will be held today from 11 am to 1130 am  . Ridgewood NJ, Mayor Ramon Hache has confirmed we have 5 confirmed cases of Coronavirus at Valley Hospital. Two of them are Ridgewood residents. While the confirmation of these cases is of great concern, this is not the time to panic. This is the time to work together to contain and prevent the spread of the virus. I urge you to please exercise appropriate social distancing measures. It is the most effective thing you can do to avoid being infected or infecting others. Please continue to adhere to the recommendations of the CDC with regard to washing hands, disinfecting surfaces, and avoiding large gatherings. Common sense is still the best defense. We are continually working with Health Officials and the Office of Emergency Management. As you can appreciate, this is a constantly evolving situation and we will do everything possible to provide you with the most up to date information

Twp of Washington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced today the arrests of COREY EASTMAN (DOB: 10/08/1992; single; unemployed) of 5169 Elvena Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ; DEVON ORTIZ (DOB: 11/18/1991; single; unemployed) of 4333 Howland Street, Philadelphia, PA; and JULIA MONTGOMERY (DOB: 02/14/1993; single; unemployed) of 7767 Marion Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ on charges of Conspiracy To Commit Impersonation/Identity Theft, Conspiracy To Commit Theft By Deception, and Conspiracy To Commit Financial Facilitation Of Criminal Activity.  ORTIZ was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.  The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Tenafly Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Chamberlain.

Trenton NJ,  While businesses and employees lose income from a drop in consumer spending and widespread closures, Assemblyman Brian Bergen is calling for a state tax holiday to keep businesses and people financially afloat.“The best way to help residents and businesses is to let them keep the money they have,” said Bergen (R-Morris). “Revenues are strong for the state right now. Government can afford a loss of income more than our constituents, and those are the people we swore oaths to represent and protect to the best of our abilities.”
