World Famous Thin Crust Lido Pizza to Open Second Location in North Arlington

Hackensack NJ, Lido, the longtime Hackensack restaurant at 701 Main Street, is expanding with a new location.  Lido, is the home of the world famous thin crust Lido pizza. After reopening under new ownership back in late 2019, this “old school” business is ready for a second spot in North Arlington at 11-35 River Road. The ownership has been renovating the space formerly Centanni, getting ready to serve the award-winning thin crust pizza and sliced steak sandwiches the place is known for. Felix has been busy training the new staff at Lido North Arlington in the fine art of making a world famous thin crust Lido pizza!

Hackensack Police Arrest Suspect for Domestic Violence after Foot Chase

Hackensack NJ, On Wednesday September 28, 2022, Hackensack Police Officer Aaron Rios and Police Officer Stanislav Tovbin responded to a home on Railroad Avenue Hackensack, on a report of a dispute. Upon their arrival the officers heard arguing coming from the home. Upon their approach of the residence the female victim exited in a frantic manner. She reported that the defendant attempted to strangle her for a short period of time, and bit her lip. He also refused to let her leave the home. During the course of their investigation the officers observed the defendant exit the rear of the residence. The officers shouted verbal commands at the arrestee, but he did not comply and fled through the rear yard. Officers relayed the information via radio and multiple Hackensack Police Department Personnel responded to the area. A perimeter was established and search ensued. During this time the victim notified responding officers that the arrestee was in possession of a knife. After a brief foot pursuit the arrestee was ultimately located in the rear yard of a home on Park Street and was arrested without incident. The knife was also recovered. Hackensack Middle School was briefly placed on lockdown during the incident. The defendant, Jean Paul Rubio, 19, of Budd Lake NJ, was charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, resisting arrest, obstruction, and weapons charges. He was transported to New Bridge Hospital and will later be turned over to the Bergen County Jail.

Gang Of Four Robs $104,000 Worth Of Luxury Handbags From Bottega Veneta at Riverside Square in Hackensack

Hackensack NJ, Hackensack Police responded to The Shops at Riverside for a robbery investigation. A group of four suspects (Three black males and one black female) entered a high-end handbag store, Bottega Veneta, and stole $104K worth of luxury handbags and accessories. They were operating a silver Dodge Charger with an aftermarket red Dodge Super Bee logo sticker on both sides of the front fenders and the trunk lid. They entered the store at the opening hour and quickly left the store after the incident. During the incident, the suspects made verbal threats to the employees putting them in fear. Hackensack Fire Department First Platoon Responds to Essex Street Vehicle Overturned into the House

Hackensack NJ, on Wednesday, September 7th, members of the City of Hackensack Fire Department first platoon operated at 89 Essex Street for an overturned vehicle into the house. Driver of the vehicle self-extricated prior to fire department arrival. Members used shoring to secure the porch and enter the structure to check for additional victims and damage. Driver was transported to Hackensack UMC with minor injuries. Hackensack police conducting the investigation. Hackensack building department assisted on scene Hackensack Police Department.

Multi Department Effort Fishes Man Out of the Hackensack River

Hackensack NJ, Hackensack, Teaneck, Oradell and The Bergen County regional scuba task force assisted the Teaneck and Hackensack Police departments in removing a victim from the river. The victim was originally being questioned by Police in Teaneck when he dove into the Hackensack river and began to swim towards Costco in Hackensack. Police units were able to remove the victim from the water without incident. Additional resources were called as precaution. In case the incident escalated.

Two Juveniles Pickup In Connection With Rash of Car Break-ins in Hackensack

Hackensack NJ, a rash of break-in thefts from parked vehicles in the Atlantic Street area over the last two weeks in Hackensack has led to the apprehension of two juveniles, one of whom was charged with numerous delinquency offenses, Hackensack police Detective Capt. UPDATE: Bergen County Assistant Prosecutor and Ridgewood Resident Dies in Fatal Accident in Hackensack

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Essex Street in Hackensack, NJ on Friday, July 29, 2022 at approximately 3:52 p.m. Responding officers transported one of the motorists to Hackensack University Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.

Multiple Stabbing In Hackensack

Hackensack NJ, according to Hackensack Police at 9:22 p.m. Monday night, two victims reported that they were stabbed during a dispute in Hackensack. The incident, which occurred on Overlook Avenue near Beach Street, is currently under police investigation. Police reports indicate both victims had non-life threatening injuries and have been released from care. Police said there is no threat to the public regarding this.

Tuesday Afternoon Fire at Riverside Square in Hackensack Under Investigation

Hackensack NJ, Hackensack Fire companies responded 390 Hackensack Ave Shops at Riverside For a fire in the hallway between Barnes and Noble and Cheesecake factory. Fire was mostly knocked down by the sprinkler system before fire department arrival companies checked for extension and ventilated. The area. Fire is currently under investigation. No reports of injuries

No Injuries Reported at Hackensack Taco Bell Fire

Hackensack NJ, on Sunday July 10th 2nd platoon operated at 500 South River Street Taco Bell for a fire in the cockloft. Hackensack Fire Companies work extensively to open up the exterior wall and the roof area to contain the fire. Fire was brought under control in 45 Minutes. Englewood Fire, Teaneck Fire  and Bogota Fire assisted at the scene. No injuries reported Fire is currently under investigation.
