Village of Ridgewood Celebrates Earth Day by Repurposing Dining Corrals

Ridgewood NJ, Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The official theme for 2022 is Invest In Our Planet.

After a vigorous debate over continued us of out door dinning corals ,the Village of Ridgewood celebrated Earth Day by repurposing them using them as a wall for the Village road salt shack.

Ridgewood Residents Claim ParkMobile QR codes are Don’t Match Some Parking Zones

Ridgewood NJ, if you  park at the Hudson St. Garage and use the Parking App the word is the QR code does not give the  correct parking zone and you will get a $25 ticket . The Hudson Parking Garage Zone has a 4331 code , but through the App with the QR code the zone comes up 4305 and or 4301.

Ridgewood  NJ, the 2022 “State of the Air” report, released today by the American Lung Association, finds that the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD and the New York-Newark, NY-NJ-CT-PA metro areas, including all but one of the state’s 21 counties, improved to their best-ever results for ozone smog, one of the most harmful and widespread types of air pollution.

Ridgewood NJ, Joseph Rullo, a former candidate for Governor in New Jersey has amassed a social media following of nearly half a million fans and is featured in a new controversial documentary film called “Vitriol” . Vitriol is a short documentary exploring vehement social media interactions from both sides of the political spectrum. The film was directed by Mark Clauburg and stars Joseph Rullo, Dr. Julie Ancis, Michael Caldarise, and Nina Kharoufeh.

West Long Branch NJ, Most New Jerseyans are aware that a ban on single-use plastic bags will go into effect next month, but the word “ban” may mean different things to different people. There is majority support for a “plastic bag ban,” but many backers would still prefer to have access to plastic bags for a small fee. At the same time, the Monmouth (“Mon-muth”) University Poll finds that many New Jerseyans are likely to be caught off guard if they expect to be able to get a paper bag. Few are aware that a ban on paper at large supermarkets is included in the new rules. Overall, most state residents say it will be easy for them to adjust to bringing their own bags when they shop, but those at the lower end of the income scale are more likely than others to say they will have a very hard time adjusting.
