The Village Council will discuss two resolutions at the Wednesday, February 3rd meeting: one to change the use of the Gate House for recreational and educational purposes, and the second to authorize the signing of the lease between Health Barn and the Village. The vote on these resolutions will not be held until the Council session on February 10th. Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy vetoed a bill on Monday that he says would have allowed New Jersey bars and restaurants more freedom while operating outside amid the coronavirus pandemic. The bill would have permitted owners and operators of restaurants, bars, distilleries and breweries to continue to utilize outdoor spaces or public sidewalks as extensions of their business premises, Murphy said.

Ridgewood NJ, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, had a bit of a scare after two rectory staff tested positive for COVID19 . Masses were temporally suspended , however all priests tested negative and mass was resumed .

Genuine value creation fur residents requires a Council culture that compels our Governing body to pursue projects that promise to improve life for all residents, whether it be property tax reduction or paving our third world roads – while not treating their own narrow self-interests (Schedler, Elks HQ, Hudson Garage) as ends in themselves.”

Ridgewood NJ, United Van Lines today released the company’s 44th Annual National Migration Study, revealing in 2020, Americans continued to move westbound and southbound – and the COVID-19 pandemic factored into and accelerated many of those decisions to move.
According to the study, which tracks the company’s exclusive data for customers’ 2020 state-to-state migration patterns, Idaho was the state with the highest percentage of inbound migration (70%) among states experiencing more than 250 moves* with United Van Lines for the second consecutive year. Topping the list of outbound locations was New Jersey (70% outbound), which has held the spot for the past three years.

Ridgewood NJ, after multiple extensions, due to COVID 19 the expiration date for most NJ driver’s licenses, registrations and inspections that had been set to expire in 2020 is now here. NJ MVC says extensions run out for expired licenses and registrations Dec. 31. The NJ Motor Vehicle Commission previously extended that expiration date to Dec. 31 for documents that would have expired between June 1 and Aug. 31. The documents covered by the extensions included standard driver’s licenses, permits, non-driver IDs, vehicle registrations, inspections and temporary tags.

Ridgewood NJ, effective January 1st you can no longer have your drivers license suspended for unpaid parking tickets . Previously it was mandatory for judges in the Garden State to issue license suspensions for misdemeanor offenses or failing to pay fines, but that law was repealed last year .
