Ridgewood Village Hall remains in full lockdown mode

Ridgewood NJ, Village Hall remains in full lockdown mode. Village Manager Heather Mailander estimates that taxpayers MAY be able to enter the building sometime in early July. The installation of sneeze guards at service counters is reportedly underway, but progressing slowly. Building permits are being delivered to applicants outside in the patio area. Police services remain available 24/7 via an emergency phone located at the parking lot entrance to Village Hall.

Mobile COVID-19 Testing Comes to Graydon Pool Parking Lot in Ridgewood

Ridewood NJ, Community mobile testing resumes on Monday June 22nd in Ridgewood offering both COVID-19 saliva diagnostic and COVID-19 antibody tests. The COVID-19 saliva diagnostic test is available to all residents and the COVID-19 antibody test is available for those who have previously tested positive as well as first responders and healthcare workers. The test site will be open from 9-10am for first responders/healthcare workers and from 10 am – 2:15 pm for the general public.

…the fly has learned that Village officials form the building department have been walking around the central business district and threatening all the restaurant owners that they will send the cops over if you don’t have their permit hanging in their place of business . Meanwhile permit processing is very slow and backed up , yet the Village still has time to walk the downtown to badger restaurant owners ?

Project Pride Committee is responsible for the summertime floral hanging baskets, the winter’s illuminated kissing balls, presentation of the HomeScape Awards, and maintenance of local pocket parks and seasonal garden plantings.

Curbside Pickup for Public Libraries

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy and Superintendent of the State Police Colonel Patrick Callahan today announced an Administrative Order which permits libraries to allow curbside pickup, beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15. The order also clarifies rules affecting a number of different businesses.

Ridgewood NJ, Updated Primary Election information:  The Primary Election will be held on July 7, 2020 and will be conducted by mail-in ballot and by voting in a few polling places for those with disabilities.  If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, please contact the County at (201) 336-7020 or you may go to your assigned polling place, which will provide access to an in-person accessible voting device on Primary Election Day.  If you do not have a disability and you choose not to vote on a Mail-In Ballot and show up to one of the limited number of Polling Places on Election Day, only Provisional Paper Ballots will be available to cast your vote. The ADA compliant Voting Machine is only for voters who have a disability.

Ridgewood NJ, Garbage pickup will remain curbside, through July 10, 2020 with rear yard garbage pickup resuming on July 13, 2020.  Please remember that curbside garbage must be placed in a covered barrel, to prevent access to the garbage by animals, keep the streets clean, and protect our employees.  Please check your garbage pickup schedule in the Village calendar or by going onto the Village website (www.ridgewoodnj.net) and clicking on “My Services Lookup”.

Ridgewood Parking Kiosks and Meters will be back in use Today June 15, 2020

Ridgewood NJ, Parking kiosks/meters will be back in use on June 15, 2020.  As a reminder, the rates are $1/hour in the lots and $1.25/hour on the street. Kiosks take credit cards or coins. Parking kiosks have replaced most of the meters, but there are still 15 minute meters at the beginning of each side street, off of East Ridgewood Avenue.  Parkmobile may also be used at parking spaces, by downloading the app.
