Hillsdale NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 31-year-old NICHOLAS K. DISPOTO of Hillsdale, NJ; 28-year-old JASON R. VRADENBURG of Park Ridge, NJ; 29-year-old MARTINA L. MCGEE of Hillsdale, NJ; and 59-year-old THOMAS M. SCHIAVONE of St. James City, FL, on charges stemming from an aggravated assault investigation. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Park Ridge Police Department, under the direction of Chief Joseph Rampolla.

Fair Lawn NJ, on January 11th -at 6:28 pm – Driving While Intoxicated/Aggravated Assault:Fair Lawn Police Officer Matthew Hearon responded to Plaza Road at Fair Lawn Avenue on a report of a possible intoxicated driver and arrested Evgenia Gordeeva, age 46 of Fair Lawn, after she failed a roadside sobriety test. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit a breath sample, reckless driving, disregarding a traffic control device, failure to inspect, obstructed windshield, and aggravated assault after shoving a police officer. She was released to a responsible aduilt.

Rair Lawn Nj, on October 3rd at 1:27 pm Fair Lawn Police Officer  Mark Roskowsky & Police Officer Stephen Buskiewicz responded to 20-21  Wagaraw Road on a report of a female kicking and then jumping on a parked vehicle. When the police units arrived, the female attempted to run away but was caught by the officers. In the process of securing Allison Diaz, age 43 of Clifton, she kicked P.O. Roskowsky in the leg and kicked P.O. Buskiewicz in the face before she was placed under arrest. She was charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, then was transported to New Bridge Medical Center for an evaluation.

FBI: Violent crimes Jump Nationwide Compared with the Previous Year’s Statistics

Washington DC, For the first time in four years, the estimated number of violent crimes in the nation increased when compared with the previous year’s statistics, according to FBI figures released today. In 2020, violent crime was up 5.6 percent from the 2019 number. Property crimes dropped 7.8 percent, marking the 18th consecutive year the collective estimates for these offenses declined.

The 2020 statistics show the estimated rate of violent crime was 387.8 offenses per 100,000 inhabitants, and the estimated rate of property crime was 1,958.2 offenses per 100,000 inhabitants. The violent crime rate rose 5.2 percent when compared with the 2019 rate; the property crime rate declined 8.1 percent.

These and additional data are presented in the 2020 edition of the FBI’s annual report Crime in the United States. This report is available as downloadable spreadsheets and topic pages about offenses, arrests, and police employee data reported by law enforcement agencies voluntarily participating in the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program.

The officers apprehended a subject who allegedly struck a conductor in the face with a closed fist. This subject now faces multiple charges including Aggravated Assault, Hindering, and Theft of Service.⁣⁣
