Twp. of Washington NJ, Twp. of Washington Fire Department reports this morning around 7am, a driver went off the road into the center woods of the Garden State Parkway. Driver is ok and car was removed. Twp. of Washington Fire Department was assisted by New Jersey State Police .
Hillsdale NJ, This morning at 3:30am the Hillsdale Fire Department was dispatched to the Garden state parkway for a two car motor vehicle accident with entrapment. 35-1 arrived on scene and confirmed a car on its side with the driver trapped. Rescue 3 arrived on scene stabilized the vehicle and extricated one victim, who was later turned over to EMS. NJ State Troopers Assisted with traffic control.
Twp. of Washington NJ, on Wednesday morning the Washington Township and Hillsdale Fire Department responded to a car fire on the Garden State Parkway near Hillsdale Avenue . Initial 911 calls coming in to both towns, both departments were dispatched and worked together to extinguish the fire.
Montvale NJ, the New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with a fatal motor vehicle crash investigation that occurred on the Garden State Parkway on June 17th.
Paramus NJ, The impact of a multi-vehicle, early Sunday evening, 05/30, collision on Route 17 southbound near the Garden State Parkway in Paramus sent a minivan careening off of the highway into the front wall of a nearby gas station. Paramus EMS transported one (1) crash victim to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. The victim’s injuries were believed to be non-life threatening. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Department also responded to the incident.

Bass River Township NJ, the New Jersey State Police have arrested Jordan Prutzman, 32, of Tuckerton, N.J. after he allegedly pointed a laser at a New Jersey State Police helicopter in Bass River Township, Burlington County.
Glen Rock NJ, at 1:20 AM on April 30th, the NJ State Police in Bloomfield reported that the stolen vehicle had been involved in a motor vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway. The occupant(s) fled the scene and left the vehicle behind, which sustained extensive damage. The Glen Rock Detective Bureau is continuing the investigation in cooperation with the NJ State Police.
Paramus NJ, they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Spotted this in Paramus on Linwood Avenue on Tuesday , the home owner neatly cleaned their sidewalk ,while the Garden State Parkway failed to do so .The Borough of Paramus would issue a fine to the home owner if they failed to shovel off the sidewalk, but the Garden State Parkway suffers no consequence ?
Lakewood NJ, with the November 3 general election, supporters of President Donald J. Trump were out in force throughout the state , rallying their base with events including a convoy that ended up causing traffic backups on the Garden State Parkway.
Paramus NJ, The toll increases for the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway go into effect on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Tolls will increase by 36% on the NJ Turnpike, with an average trip increasing from $3.50 to $4.80. Tolls on the Garden State Parkway will increase by 27%, increasing an average trip of $1.11 to $1.41. The money from the toll hike will go toward various projects, including the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway expansion plan approved in May.
Egg Harbor Township NJ, Earlier today, a Trooper from Troop “D” Galloway Station responded to a report of a large bird that appeared to be injured on the side of the Garden State Parkway.
Trooper Danny Lopes responded to the area of milepost 39.1 northbound in Egg Harbor Township and observed a Red-tail hawk on the side road with what appeared to be an injured leg. Trooper Lopes kept a close eye on the hawk while waiting for a professional, which he requested, to capture animal for medical treatment.
While he was waiting, the hawk took a liking to Trooper Lopes’ troop car and decided the view of the Parkway would look much better from the vehicle’s emergency light bar.
Unfortunately, when the animal rescue officer arrived and attempted to catch the hawk, it flew off of the troop car and into the woods.
If anyone in the area of the incident spots the injured hawk, we encourage you to contact your local police department to assist with helping this beautiful animal receive a medical evaluation.

Bass River NJ, The NJ Attorney General’s Office is conducting an investigation of a fatal shooting involving the New Jersey State Police that occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. yesterday, May 23, on the Garden State Parkway in Bass River, N.J. One male civilian sustained fatal injuries. The decedent has been identified as a Dutchess County College student Maurice S. Gordon, 28, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. studying chemistry and was a driver for UberEats.
Toms River NJ, The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders has again voiced their opposition to toll hikes on the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike noting the increases do nothing but harm Ocean County commuters already adversely affected by business closures during the coronavirus pandemic.
