Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark,  the pavilion at Habernickel Park is nearing completion. This gathering space in the park will provide shelter from both sun and rain. The Village manager went on in a Facebook post saying , “We already have inquiries from community groups and residents alike as to when it will be open to the public. Expect a grand opening this May!”

Ridgewood Mayor Responds Soil Contamination Concerns, Says “No immediate threat to the public”

The Mayor stated as part of the Village’s ongoing efforts to enhance our parks, improvement projects are planned for Habernickel Park and the Schedler property. During preparations for these projects, we discovered that both sites have areas of contaminated soil.

Habernickel bathrooms delayed until 2025-2026

Ridgewood NJ, the bathroom facility that was supposed to be constructed this year at Habernickel Park will be delayed until the 2025–2026 tax year. It was initially believed that the bathroom could be included in the planned $340k covered pavilion project scheduled to begin later this year. However, cost estimates for the covered pavilion itself exceeded original projections. Good news for taxpayers that Village officials have decided to delay bathroom construction because every single recreational facility bathroom project undertaken in Ridgewood since 2010 has significantly exceeded its original cost projection.

Green Acres law will require Healthbarn USA to pay to use proposed covered pavilion at Habernickel

Ridgewood NJ, Village Manager Keith Kazmark emphatically stated that Healthbarn USA will not have free access to the proposed covered pavilion at Habernickel Park. Green Acres laws prohibit such an arrangement said Kazmark. His remarks were made during a Wednesday, March 6th Village Council Work Session. The Village Manager said that in all likelihood, if Healthbarn USA should desire to use the planned facility, the terms of their existing lease with the Village will be renegotiated.

The Barn at Habernickel Park in Ridgewood is Removed
