Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 67-year-old TERENCE J. COTTER of Delray Beach, FL on a charge of assault by auto. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Mahwah Police Department under the direction of Chief Timothy O’Hara.

Mahwah NJ, concerns in the township of Mahwah have escalated following Monday’s flooding on South Railroad Avenue, intensifying worries about a yearlong issue related to a damaged NJ Transit culvert. Township Administrator Ben Kezmarsky conveyed on Tuesday that an apartment complex east of the tracks had been grappling with flooding due to the damaged culvert for the past year.

Tractor-trailer Crash Takes Out Overhead Sign , Spills Lemons on the Roadway, Shutting Down Route 17 in Mahwah

Mahwah NJ, All lanes on Route 17 North in Mahwah have reopened following a crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle. The two left lanes on the southbound side remain closed north of Route 202.
That crash happened around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The truck overturned, spilling lemons all over the highway and causing damage. Details about what led to the crash remain unclear, but it appears the tractor-trailer and another vehicle collided.

Ridgewood NJ, NJDOL’s Division of Wage and Hour and Contract Compliance has the authority to immediately halt work at any public or private worksite – both construction and non-construction – when an investigation finds evidence an employer has violated state wage, benefit or tax laws. Examples include: misclassifying employees as independent contractors; not having appropriate workers’ compensation insurance; failing to pay prevailing wage or overtime; or paying workers partially, late, or off the books.

Hackensack NJ, for the last eight and a half years, Ridgewood’s Frank Delvecchio has served an important role in my administration as Director of Public Safety Communications at the County’s 9-1-1 communications center in Mahwah. In his tenure, Frank spearheaded a number of significant projects critical to law enforcement, our first responders, and Bergen County’s public safety apparatus at large varying from the implementation of technology upgrade to facilitating the growth of municipal shared service contracts for dispatch and 9-1-1 service for the County.
