Graydon Pool in Ridgewood will be open through Labor Day

Ridgewood NJ, Graydon Pool will be open through Labor Day, including the last week of August. The hours are: Monday through Friday/10:00 am- 6:00 pm, the deep end, the kiddie pool area, the shallow area, and the diving board areas may be open. From 6:00 pm.-7:00 pm, Adult Lap Swim Only. Saturday and Sunday, the hours are from 10:00 am-6:00 pm, with various areas of the pool open, depending on staffing. Please note that any stand may be closed due to weather, maintenance, staffing or any event that may put the public’s safety at risk.

Ridgewood Fire Department Quickly Extinguishes a Smokey Kitchen Fire

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Fire Department personnel quickly extinguished a smokey kitchen fire in a single family, split level home located within the 400 block of Lucille Court, Ridgewood on Friday afternoon, 08/05. No injuries were reported by either the lone adult female occupant or any firefighters. Damage to the home was light. Ridgewood Fire Department, Ridgewood Police Department, and Ridgewood OEM representatives were on the scene. The cause appears to be a toaster oven .

Reporting of a “suspicious” Black Cadillac Leads to Arrest of Wanted Female in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, an adult female, reportedly wanted by Florida law enforcement authorities in connection with multiple infractions, was taken into custody by Ridgewood Police officers late Monday afternoon, 07/25, in the parking lot of Ridgewood’s municipal swimming pool. A telephone call to police reporting a “suspicious” black Cadillac Escalade occupied by several individuals and parked unlawfully at the Graydon Pool lot led to the arrest. Following a consensual vehicle search, police also issued two (2) motor vehicle summonses to the operator of the Escalade. The woman taken into custody was transported in a marked patrol vehicle to Ridgewood Police headquarters. No information was provided at the scene as to whether she would be transferred to the Bergen County Jail, or released by Ridgewood Police after processing.

Ridgewood NJ, a tree toppled over on John Street between East Ridgewood Avenue and Wyndemere Avenue were blocked until the fallen tree was cleared. The Ridgewood Police cordoned off the area . No Injuries reported .
