Ridgewood Public Library Once Again Offers Walk In Browsing

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Public Library is open for walk in browsing  making it a great time to get caught up with your reading . Lets face it ,the pandemic has limited our entertainment options yet reading is available, its cost effective, local  and rewarding. For First Floor, Mezzanine and Reference level browsing, walk in for 30-minute visits on a first-come, first-served basis. Please wear mask and maintain 6-foot social distance while at Library.  For Computer use: one 30-minute session daily per visitor. Up to 45 visitors may be inside the Library at any given time.

Ridgewood NJ, The Kasschau Memorial Shell’s (located on Veterans Field, behind the Ridgewood Public Library) summer programs have begun – Programs will be held every Tuesday and Thursday night, through early August. The programs will begin at 8:30 p.m. and are free to the public.  Please bring a chair or blanket and we encourage you to wear a mask and social distance your chairs on Veterans Field.

Governor Murphy Needs to Reopen libraries Now !

Is the Ridgewood chief of police playing favorites with the town drunk?

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood blog has previously reported on a homeless woman  with what appears to be a serious drinking problem who’s made repeated bogus 911 calls. She was arrested once again this week after she allegedly broke into the Ridgewood Public library. Ridgewood Police responded to a burglar alarm and reported  that they found the 56-year-old woman in the library shortly after 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Ridgewood Public Library is taking active precautions against coronavirus

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Public Library is taking active precautions against coronavirus . On the Facebook page ,” It Takes a Ridgewood Village”  resident Anne LaGrange Loving  mentioned that at Wednesday”s Village council meeting Library Director Nancy Greene  commented on precautions , “Last night Nancy Greene explained to me that the Ridgewood Library is wiping down all high-contact surfaces every two hours with disinfecting wipes. This includes railings, banisters, door handles, table tops, keyboards. She is not under any sort of mandate; she is simply being proactive to keep the library patrons safe. Thank you Nancy Greene.”
