Sunrise Assisted Living coming to Ridgewood?

Ridgewood NJ, several members of our staff have noticed these advertisements that have recently popped up on line. Our mayor and council have been mum, of course, about any plans to bring Sunrise Assisted Living to Ridgewood.  So much for the governmental transparency they continue to boast about.

Ridgewood Arts Foundation Grants Scholarships to Several RHS Students

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Arts Foundation was founded by residents of the Village of Ridgewood who saw the need for a foundation to provide funding for the many worthy artistic endeavors within and near the Village of Ridgewood and to encourage the further development of the arts within the community. They granted scholarships to several RHS students during their fall granting cycle.

Lincoln’s Birthday

Ridgewood NJ, Abraham Lincoln was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, on February 12 in 1809. He lived for a time in Indiana before moving to Illinois. He worked on a farm, split rails for fences, worked in a store, was a captain in the Black Hawk War, and worked as a lawyer. He married Mary Todd and together they had four boys, only one of whom lived to maturity.

UPDATE: Most Ridgewood Village Council members have “official” social media accounts

Ridgewood NJ, Several days ago we informed you of a Facebook account being used by a Village Council member to communicate with residents about Village business/issues. We are pleased to report that a banner/logo associated with the previous of use of the account in an election campaign, has now been removed and replaced with a banner/logo more suited to its present use. However, we still don’t know if anyone is being blocked from viewing the account, or from making comments thereon.

How Quickly They Forget – Contentious Chapters of Village of Ridgewood Code Not Yet Revised

Ridgewood Municipal Offices Holiday Closures

Ridgewood NJ, December 23rd and 26th ,all Village Offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas Holiday – There will be garbage and recycling pickup on December 23rd, but there will be no garbage or recycling pickup on December 26th, and the Recycling Center will also be closed.

Village of Ridgewood Receives Recycling Award From the NJ Department of Environmental Protection

Ridgewood NJ, an airport that recycles numerous items including polycarbonate runway signs; a municipality with a comprehensive curbside, drop-off and food waste recycling system; and a senior citizen who volunteered to collect and deliver loads of recyclables generated by his neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic are among those honored as New Jersey’s 2022 recycling leaders, Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Shawn M.
