Harrington Park NJ, the Harrington Park Police Department has received multiple calls about coyote sightings in the Highland Field Area near the lower fields and walking trails. Coyotes are usually skittish around humans and typically try to avoid people whenever possible. Chief Maalouf wants citizens to be educated about these animals, as well as the do’s and don’ts when encountering a coyote.

State Historic Preservation Office has approved the Phase 1 Berm Project at Historic Schedler Park in Ridgewood

The Englewood Police Department is issuing a COMMUNITY ALERT in connection with a Sexual Contact investigation

Englewood NJ, on Friday, August 13, 2021, at approximately 8:20 PM, on the south sidewalk of West Palisade Avenue almost directly across from Oakland Street, a woman walking alone eastbound was touched inappropriately by an adult male who was walking alone westbound. The suspect, described as a very tall black male wearing black footwear, black shorts with a white stripe and a black t-shirt, fled the area towards the Teaneck border. The victim in this incident captured three images of her assailant with her own cell phone which were posted earlier today through our partnership with Ring’s “Neighbors Public Safety Service.” Link as follows:

Driver Seriously Injured in Paramus Cement Mixer Rollover Crash

Paramus NJ, The driver of a cement truck was seriously injured during a Monday afternoon, 08/16, rollover crash on the exit ramp from Route 4 eastbound to Route 17 northbound in Paramus. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, NJDOT, NJSP, and Bergen County Hazmat personnel/units were among those who responded to the incident. Two (2) heavy duty tow trucks were required to right and remove the rolled over vehicle. The adult male driver was transported to a local hospital by a Paramus EMS ambulance. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital assisted Paramus EMTs with an medical evaluation of the victim. Leaking fluids were attended to by Bergen County Hazmat personnel and a commercial recovery/remediation contractor. Traffic on Route 4 eastbound was slowed to a crawl near the crash scene, with those drivers heading to Route 17 north forced to make a U-Turn at the next eastbound exit.

West Milford NJ, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Police Chief James DeVore announce that based upon an investigation by the West Milford Police Department, Andrew Canning, 31-years-old from Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, was arrested in relation to a home invasion investigation that took place August 15, 2021, in the area of Beacon Hill Road and Manchester Lane in West Milford, New Jersey. Andrew Canning is charged with Armed Robbery, First Degree (2 counts); Kidnapping, First Degree (2 Counts); Aggravated Assault, Second Degree (2 counts); Burglary, Second Degree; Burglary, Third Degree; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Second Degree; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Fourth Degree; Theft, Fourth Degree; Possession of Burglar’s Tools, a Disorderly Persons Offense; False Imprisonment, a Disorderly Persons Offense; and Possession of Handcuffs, a Disorderly Persons Offense.

Ridgewood NJ, a ceremony to mark the start of an ecological restoration project at the Wild Duck Pond in Saddle River County Park. The project scope includes replacing the pond liner and implementing stormwater best management practices, which will restore the pond’s wetlands and further support native wildlife. Funding for the restoration project comes from the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund and a grant from NJ Green Acres.

New Jersey State Police Seeking Public’s Looking to Identify Police Impersonator

Brick Township NJ, The New Jersey State Police, Wall Township Police Department, and Brick Township Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a man suspected of impersonated a police officer.
On August 1, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the victim stopped her car in Brick Township because she thought a police officer was pulling her over. The suspect was driving behind the victim in a black, older model Ford Crown Victoria when he activated a blue dome light on the front dashboard.
