SUV Smashes into Ridgefield Fire House

Ridgfield NJ, at approximately 6:10 PM on March 11th 2024, the Ridgefield Fire Department was requested at the intersection of Broad Avenue and Ray Avenue for a car into a building smoking. Units would arrive on scene to find a single car motor vehicle crash into 805 Broad Avenue (Ridgefield Fire Company 1) with significant building damage. The driver of the SUV refused medical attention and the vehicle was taken by city tow. The cause of the mva remains under investigation by the Ridgefield Police Department. Lock Your Car Doors: Glen Rock Police Report Uptick in Vehicle Thefts in the Bergen County

Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police there has been an uptick in vehicle thefts in the Bergen County area recently. Last night into early this morning Fair Lawn had two BMWs stolen near the Glen Rock border. The thieves also attempted to enter a home in Glen Rock prior to the Fair Lawn theft but couldn’t make entry to the home. In general, thieves are entering homes and taking keys from inside. Please remember to LOCK YOUR VEHICLES AND YOUR HOMES EVERY NIGHT. Protect yourself and your neighbors.

Trenton NJ, New Jersey lawmakers have paused their efforts to revamp the state’s public records laws following criticism from various good government groups. The bill (S2930), introduced by top Democrats just a week ago, faced swift opposition from nonprofits, civil rights organizations, unions, and the media, who voiced their concerns at dual committee meetings in Trenton on Monday. Originally slated for a crucial hearing in the state Assembly appropriations committee on Thursday, the bill was unexpectedly withdrawn from the agenda shortly before noon.

Washington DC, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted 352-65 in favor of a bill that would ban TikTok in the United States unless its Chinese parent company, Bytedance, sells off its US operations within six months. Ridgewood Police Have a New Sergeant

Sergeant Ray Tarino ,  (RHS class of 2000) , was joined by family, friends, and the Village Council as he was sworn in to his new position. Sgt. Tarino has been with the Department for 18 years and has been a vital part of the Traffic Division and Patrol.
