A soft rollout in progress with a dozen emergency calls answered . Bergen County Emergency Medical Services is now on the road assisting our EMS partners and municipalities answering emergencies throughout Bergen County!Ā Ā Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and Commissioners cut the ribbon today to make this service go live.

Hackensack Police Department Make Arrest After Officers Police Cruiser is Rammed by Assailants SUV

Hackensack NJ, the Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of Yves Davilmar Jr. for several criminal charges in reference to an assault on a Police Officer.
On February 16th, 2023, Officer Panagiotis Seretis was responding to assist another officer with his emergency lights and sirens activated in the area of Main Street and Salem Street. Officer Seretis signaled for a black Ford Explorer to pull to the side of the road, to which the vehicle did not immediately obey. After further signaling, the vehicle moved over and allowed Officer Seretis to pass, but proceeded to follow the officer. The vehicle then suddenly accelerated and rammed into the rear of Officer Seretis’s police vehicle. Officer Seretis vehicle came to a rest after being rammed, at which point the vehicle once again rammed the police vehicle. The vehicle then intentionally backed up and proceeded to ram the vehicle multiple times.

Fort Lee NJ, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today opened the newly renovated and fully accessible north walk of the George Washington Bridge, significantly improving the experience for bicyclists, pedestrians, and users with mobility challenges. Replacement of the bridge’s northside original steel suspender cables and associated closure of the path below the cables as part of the agency’s $2 billion Restoring the George program created an opportunity for the Port Authority to overhaul the path, including the replacement of the 171 access steps with gentler widened accessible approach paths to allow seamless connection from adjacent streets.

Paxos Has Been Ordered by New York Regulators to Stop Issuing Binance USD Stablecoin

Ridgewood NJ, Paxos has been ordered by New York regulators to stop issuing Binance USD due to concerns that it can’t safely issue the token. The SEC is planning to sue Paxos for violating investor protection laws. It reportedly sent a notice to Paxos to inform the company of potential violations and enforcement actions. Paxos will stop issuing new BUSD tokens on February 21. The stablecoin will remain fully supported by Paxos until at least February 2024. Binance will support BUSD for the foreseeable future.
