Paramus NJ, early on the morning of July 25th a 36″ water transmission line in Spring Valley Road near the entrance to Panera Bread/Kohl’s failed. Residents in the area experienced slightly below normal water pressure. There was no boil water advisory at this time. Repairs rapidly started . The Road was closed .

Paramus NJ, retail giant Amazon, made its highly anticipated debut on the Garden State’s supermarket scene. The company’s first Amazon Fresh grocery store in New Jersey opened at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, in Paramus. The new 40,000-square-foot store is located at 30 E. Ridgewood Avenue in the space formerly held by Fairway Market in the Fashion Center . Store hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

Paramus NJ, the Paramus Police Department is investigating a property damage and attempted theft incident that occurred at the Paramus VFW building overnight. Unknown person(s) cut down the flag pole which had the American and POW flags flying on it. VFW members Sonny Schuler and Skip Cherven secured the flags in proper manner after the damage was found. Paramus NJ, Bergen Community College has extended its popular “inflation-busters” tuition freeze initiative through Aug. 1, giving students additional time to register for fall 2022 classes under the fall 2019 tuition rate ($146.50 per credit for Bergen County residents). The College’s latest student affordability program has already encouraged 4,743 students to register for fall classes.

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police remind residents that the Bergen County Mosquito Control will be performing an early morning Truck Spray in Paramus on Thursday, 06/30/2022, between the hours of 4-6 AM. They will be spraying in the neighborhoods between the Garden State Parkway and Forest Ave, north of Midland Ave and South of E. Ridgewood Ave. They will be spraying duet adulticide to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes as well as Vectorbac larvacide to help control mosquito larvae. Please keep your windows closed if you are in this area or surrounding streets. In the event that it rains, the spray will be postponed until the following day. Bergen County Mosquito Control will also spraying in Moonachie on the same dates .

Paramus NJ, Last week Bergen Community College’s team at the Community College Intelligence Challenge in Washington, D.C. was named the #1 overall winner with their “ScanCan”: The Intelligent Recycling Bin.” The “ScanCan” is a recycling bin that senses whether or not a product is recyclable before allowing it to be disposed of. Congratulations to students Jacob Jalinski, Tyler Jacobs, and Roee Shalom along with faculty mentors Luis De Abreu and Joseph Sivo. Paramus NJ, One (1) individual was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a multiple vehicle collision at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus on Friday afternoon, 06/24. Two (2) vehicles were towed from the scene. , Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital responded to aid the victim.

Paramus NJ, A Paramus Police supervising officer at the scene of a Thursday morning, 06/23, crash on Route 17 northbound under West Midland Avenue, Paramus was reluctant to say exactly why a Range Rover fell off of a new car carrier onto the traveled roadway, causing a crash with injuries involving at least one (1) other vehicle. The extent of injuries, and who was injured, was not revealed. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Company #3 responded to the incident. Two (2) vehicles, including the Range Rover, were towed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks.
