Ridgewood Nj, according to Nancy A. Bigos Director of Parks and Recreation for the Village of Ridgewood, the excessive rainfall throughout these past two weeks and the flooding created through the breach of the Ho-Ho-Kus Brook all municipal ballfields inclusive of: Maple Park, Habernickel Park, Citizen’s Park ,Veterans Field, and lower and upper Hawes were closed Friday.

Bump Outs at the Intersection of W. Glen Avenue and Heights Road are Nearly Complete

Ridgewood NJ, the current council initially opposed the public safety work on West Glen, opting to focus on turfing over Route 17 ,but  according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark  the bump outs at the intersection of W. Glen Avenue and Heights Road are nearly complete. This work effort was designed to better control a difficult intersection, shortened pedestrian cross walks and slow vehicle speeds.

Tesla Slams into the Back of a Parked Landscape Contractor’s Truck on Van Emburgh Avenue in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, the driver of a while colored Tesla was extricated by Ridgewood Fire Department firefighters after becoming entrapped in the vehicle’s passenger compartment following an early Thursday afternoon, 09/28, rollover crash in the 200 block of Van Emburgh Avenue, Ridgewood. The Tesla slammed into the back of a parked landscape contractor’s truck before rolling over on the driver’s side. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks. The driver was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical’s main campus for treatment. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital responded to the crash as did several Ridgewood Police Department  units. Paramus Police Department  assisted with traffic control.

Ridgewood Mayor Paul Vagianos referred to the well documented, notarized, $47K mortgage note he holds on the Brooks/Price residence in Ridgewood, a copy of which is on file at the Bergen County Clerk’s Office, as an “alleged loan.” “Alleged?” Huh? Really Mr. Vagianos? And our mayor has the chutzpah to say this in a crowded meeting room while live on camera. What else can we say here? The man is unbelievable. Good grief!

More Trees For Ridgewood’s Central Business District

Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark , Phase 3 of the street revitalization Project will begin this Fall . The Village of Ridgewood will be relacing trees in the wells along Oak, Chestnut ,Walnut streets and Franklin Avenue in the Central Business District . The trees were chosen specifically to thrive in Ridgewood’s downtown , provide more shade in the summer , better air quality and create a more beautiful downtown.
