Hackensack NJ, Thursday morning at approximately 5am City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded on reported motor vehicle accident involving a pick-up truck vs tractor trailer. Arriving units checked for injuries and provided first aid to the driver of the pick-up truck until the arrival of HUMC Ambulance.

Hackensack NJ, on Wednesday afternoon City of Hackensack Fire Department Deputy 4, Rescue 1 and Engine 1 were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident under an overpass off an exit from Route 80. The exact exit was unclear, units investigated until the accident was found off of exit #62 in Lodi. Construction Workers using a lift truck were struck from behind by a truck. At least one injury was reported as well as a minor fluid spill.

Hackensack Nj, on March 8th at 01:30am the City of Hackensack Fire Department members of 4th platoon responded to 435 Main St on Box 5-6-2. An activation of the elevator pit smoke detector led Engine 5 to the lower level parking garage below the 6 story light weight occupied apartment building. It was there that Engine 5 was met with banked down smoke causing limited visibility while searching for the cause. A car fire was quickly located and 2 lines were stretched with one operating. The car fire was swiftly knocked down. Additional precautions and measures were required due to the fact that it was an electric vehicle (EV) which do not extinguish easily as regular vehicles do. Firefighters operated on scene for about 7hrs until the vehicle was fully extinguished and able to be safely removed from below the apartments. One firefighter was injured and was released from Hackensack Hospital overnight.
Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following updated information regarding an apartment fire at 850 Palisade Avenue in Teaneck, NJ that occurred on Monday, February 19, 2024. The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr.
Hackensack NJ, on Saturday afternoon City of Hackensack Fire Department Rescue 1, Engine 5 and Fire Prevention Deputy responded to the intersection of Summit Ave and Poplar Ave on reported motor vehicle accident with rollover and airbag deployment.
Hackensack N. J. on January 13th at 1:08 PM Saturday, firefighters of Engine 1 and Special Ops 3 from the Hackensack Fire Department responded to the intersection of South River and Kansas Street where a vehicle was found submerged in water with occupants trapped inside.

Hackensack NJ, Tuesday afternoon City of Hackensack Deputy 4, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Engine 2,Engine 4 and Engine 1 were dispatched to 280 Clark Street for an activated fire alarm. Arriving units investigated and found unattended cooking in apartment 4E which caused a grease fire to ignite and activate a nearby sprinkler head. The fire was contained to the kitchen however there was water damage in apartments 3E, 2E and 1E displacing residents until repairs are made. City of Hackensack building department along with fire prevention bureau responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

Hackensack NJ, a collision involving two motor vehicles occurred at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Marvin Avenue, resulting in reported injuries. The incident unfolded this afternoon while emergency responders from City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2 were en route to another call. Upon reaching the accident scene, they immediately offered assistance to the injured individuals.

Hackensack NJ, according to City of Hackensack Fire Officials there was a two-car motor vehicle accident in front of 139 Route 17 South on Thanksgiving, which resulted in one of the vehicles crashing into the building. Hackensack Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded.

Hackensack NJ, on October 27th at approximately 11:50am City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded to 70 Polifly Road on a report of a possible collapse. Arriving units found front awning had collapsed with one construction worker injured. City of Hackensack Firefighters provided first aid and checked for injuries on a male patient. HUMC ALS and BLS took over patient care, firefighters assisted with packaging of patient for transport to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. City Building Department, Electrical Inspector and Fire Prevention were notified and responded to the scene. Firefighters secured power to the collapsed awning, Investigators from OSHA were notified and responded for the investigation.

Englewood NJ, Englewood Firefighters battled an early morning fire in a commercial structure in the 200 block of West Englewood Avenue. 2 Alarms were needed to bring the fire under control with the assistance of Teaneck Fire Department, City of Hackensack Fire Department ,Tenafly Fire Department and more. There were no injuries but the building suffered severe damage.
Rochelle Park NJ, the occupants of a single family home located on North Drive in Rochelle Park safely fled their house moments before it became engulfed by heavy black smoke emanating from the basement early Tuesday morning, 08/22. Firefighters from Rochelle Park were assisted by numerous other agencies in extinguishing the blaze. Unfortunately, the structure sustained heavy fire, smoke, and water damage. One (1) civilian and one (1) firefighter reportedly suffered minor injuries.
