Waldwick NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JONAN PASCASIO-ERAZO (DOB: 04/25/1977; single; laborer) of Waldwick, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, sexual assault by contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and obscenity. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Waldwick Police Department under the direction of Chief Mark Messner.

Tractor-trailer Crash Takes Out Overhead Sign , Spills Lemons on the Roadway, Shutting Down Route 17 in Mahwah

Mahwah NJ, All lanes on Route 17 North in Mahwah have reopened following a crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle. The two left lanes on the southbound side remain closed north of Route 202.
That crash happened around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The truck overturned, spilling lemons all over the highway and causing damage. Details about what led to the crash remain unclear, but it appears the tractor-trailer and another vehicle collided.

In his tenure, Frank spearheaded a number of significant projects critical to law enforcement, our first responders, and Bergen County’s public safety apparatus at large varying from the implementation of technology upgrade to facilitating the growth of municipal shared service contracts for dispatch and 9-1-1 service for the County.

Mahwah NJ, the Mahwah Republican Club is holding a fundraiser on March 3rd at the Mahwah Elks Club at 630pm to raise money for our annual student scholarships. Over the last two years, we have awarded four winners. We hope to raise enough money this year for three scholarships. The scholarships are based on written essays and are judged on thought formation, organization, and proper grammatical structure. In addition to raising funds for the scholarship, the event will be used to promote leadership amongst our local students. All Mahwah student residents attending their senior year in high school are eligible. Please join us for a good cause and a fun night out.

Mahwah NJ, of the many artists and writers who lived in Cragemere, poet Joyce Kilmer may be the most famous. Kilmer was born December 6, 1886, in New Brunswick, NJ. He moved to Cragmere in 1912, while working as a special reporter for the New York Times Magazine. A fellow commuter would recall that Kilmer was never dressed for work on time and was busy putting himself together on the school bus that dropped them off at the train station.

Mahwah NJ,  Ramapo College of New Jersey, the State’s public liberal arts college, today launched the Ramapo College Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center (IGG Center), the first Center of its kind to offer case work, research, and hands-on education in investigative genetic genealogy. The vision of the innovative new Center is to secure justice through the ethical and proficient use of investigative genetic genealogy to support the resolution of cases involving wrongful convictions, unidentified human remains, and violent crime. The first class of students in the Center’s IGG Certificate Program will enroll in the Spring of 2023.

Body of Missing Mahwah Man Found

Mahwah NJ, the body of a missing 41-year-old man was discovered Saturday. Hector Zamorano, of Mahwah, was found deep inside the 4,000-acre reservation in Bergen County by another hiker on Saturday morning, according to Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton.
