Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a quiet Thursday morning in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, was shattered by a serious accident after a pedestrian was struck by a passenger vehicle. The incident occurred at the busy intersection of North Franklin Turnpike and Sheridan Avenue.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police called for assistance from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification in the investigation of a very serious Monday afternoon, 10/30, pedestrian vs. vehicle collision on North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 PM near the Ridgewood Public Library. A Ridgewood Fire Department ambulance rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment of grave injuries. Paramedics accompanied the ambulance. North Maple Avenue in the vicinity of the crash site was closed in both directions for an extended period. The vehicle and driver involved in the collision remained on the scene.
South Hackensack NJ, The South Hackensack Police Department is attempting to identify the driver involved in a hit and run motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian struck which occurred on 03-28-2021 at approximately 3am.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police and NJ Transit Police responded to investigate the death of a pedestrian trespasser, reportedly struck by a NJ Transit Bergen Line train, at the Harristown Road,rail crossing, Glen Rock, on Wednesday morning, 01/22. A paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital also responded to the scene. Glen Rock Police are detouring all traffic Harristown Road down Glen Avenue to Maple Avenue.
Palisades park NJ, The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Palisades Park Police Department are requesting information from the public regarding a hit and run with a struck pedestrian where the victim sustained serious injuries.
On Sunday, July 21, 2019, at approximately 2:14 a.m., the Palisades Park Police Department received a report of a fight in progress outside of 400 Bergen Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim lying in the roadway with serious injuries. The victim, a 33-year-old male, was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Wyckoff NJ, The Wyckoff Police Department is investigating a Hit & Run / Pedestrian Struck: accident that occurred at approximately 7:10 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018 near the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue. The victim was crossing Clinton Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Clinton Avenue. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
Witnesses stated the vehicle in question stopped to check on the victim and then continued westbound on Clinton Avenue. The vehicle is described a dark colored SUV, being operated by a male party, mid 20’s, and wearing a New York Mets hat.

Westwood NJ, A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Broadway and Irvington Street, Westwood on Tuesday morning, 02/06. The victim was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Westwood Police responded along with a BLS ambulance from Hackensack University Medical Center North and an ALS unit from The Valley Hospital.
Glen Rock NJ, An adult female pedestrian sustained a serious but non-life threatening leg injury when she was struck by a NJ Transit bus #164 at the intersection of Rock Road and South Maple Avenue in Glen Rock on Monday evening, 10/09. The victim was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance; she was conscious and alert when police and EMS personnel arrived at the accident site. Glen Rock Police is investigating the incident. Ridgewood Police units provided assistance with traffic control at the scene.
Ridgewood NJ, A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured at the corner of East Ridgewood Avenue and Oak Street, Ridgewood on Sunday evening, 12/25. The victim was transported by a Ridgewood EMS ambulance to a local trauma center. Ridgewood PD, FD, and EMS members, along with a paramedic team from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, all responded to aid the victim. The adult female driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and was cooperating with police officers. The vehicle, a 4-door Volkswagen, had visible damage on the front left fender and bumper, and the front windshield was shattered. It was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Police at the scene would not say if the victim was in a crosswalk when hit, nor whether any summonses were issued in connection with the incident.
Glen Rock NJ, An adult male resident of Glen Rock was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Ackerman Avenue and Rock Road in Glen Rock on Thursday evening, 12/15. The victim sustained non life threatening injuries to his arm and lower extremities. He was transported by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance to The Valley Hospital. A paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital assisted Glen Rock EMS with on scene evaluation of the patient. The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene and was cooperating with Glen Rock PD.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood PD and EMS personnel were dispatched to aid an adult male pedestrian who was struck by a motor vehicle as he was trying to cross Godwin Avenue in front of Whole Foods, late afternoon, Sunday, 12/11. The victim, who was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital, sustained a non-life threatening leg injury. Ridgewood PD issued three (3) summonses in connection with the incident.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Fire, and EMS personnel responded to aid a pedestrian who was struck at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and Oak Street on Tuesday night, 12/06. The victim, who appeared to have sustained non-life threatening injuries, was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. The driver of the vehicle involved was driving westbound on East Ridgewood Avenue at the time of the incident, and remained at the scene to cooperate with police officers assigned to investigate the collision.
Ridgewood NJ, An adult female was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained after being struck by a motor vehicle in front of 505 Goffle Road, Ridgewood on Thursday evening, 11/10. Ridgewood PD, FD, and EMS units responded to aid the victim. Traffic control assistance was provided by Midland Park and Wyckoff PD units. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. It did not appear that the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time she was struck.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood PD, FD, and EMS personnel responded to a “pedestrian struck” report on Friday, 10/07 at approximately 1900 hours. The incident occurred on East Ridgewood Avenue near Somerville Road. With the assistance of a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital, the victim was evaluated on location before being transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit. The extent of the victim’s injuries were not made public at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and was cooperating with police.
