Ridgewood NJ, Several sources have informed the staff of The Ridgewood Blog that the Village’s Signal Department and Parks Department were both hit by COVID-19 outbreaks within the past two weeks. The majority of employees in both departments were quarantined as a result of the outbreaks, which may or may not have been related. As a result of staff shortages, some routine and special work did not get done, including the placement of resident provided Christmas tree ornaments on two Village owned Christmas trees. We hope that no one was taken very ill, and that all affected employees are able to resume their normal jobs shortly.
