Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department, in collaboration with Access Ridgewood and Spec Wired, held a successful “Pull Over Properly” event at the Graydon Pool parking lot yesterday. The event aimed to help neurodiverse drivers understand how to safely respond when pulled over by law enforcement, offering practical simulations to enhance confidence and communication during such encounters.

Ridgewood Police Present Traffic Study Findings to Address Village Intersection Issues

Ridgewood NJ, at the Village Council meeting on September 30, the Ridgewood Police Department presented the results of a comprehensive traffic study, conducted in partnership with Bergen County, to address increasing traffic and accidents at key intersections. The study focused on finding low-cost solutions to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection of Oak St. and East Glen Ave., while also maximizing control at North Maple Ave. and East Glen Ave.

Ridgewood NJ, on Friday evening, September 13th, a black Toyota Prius crashed through a chain-link fence, over a retaining wall, and came to rest against the rear of a Ridgewood restaurant. Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident, including the vehicle’s driver and the restaurant’s occupants.

Ridgewood NJ, a mechanical malfunction may have caused a vehicle to slide partially off a flatbed tow truck on Thursday evening, September 12, as it was being towed through Ridgewood. The incident occurred when the tow truck made a turn from northbound Paramus Road to eastbound East Glen Avenue.

Ridgewood Police Department Has a New Lieutenant

Ridgewood NJ, Michael Lembo, was sworn in as a Lieutenant of the Ridgewood Police Department at the Wednesday evenings Village council meeting. Lt. Lembo graduated from the University of Scranton in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in history, and in 2020, graduated from Marist College, where he received his Master of Public Administration degree. Michael was promoted to Sergeant in 2015 and assigned to the Detective Bureau in 2018.

Box Truck Takes Down Large Shade Tree, Disrupts Power on West End Avenue in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, in a dramatic turn of events on Saturday afternoon, August 24, a three-vehicle chain reaction collision in Ridgewood saw four adults and a several-months-old infant narrowly avoid serious injury. The incident unfolded in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue, near Orchard Place, and was triggered when the lead vehicle slowed down for a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
