Hoboken Voters Overwhelmingly Reject $250 Million School Referendum

Hoboken NJ, in a display of what is right with our system, a high turnout of Hoboken voters overwhelmingly rejected a tax and spend boondoggle in the dead of winter. A broad coalition realized that spending $250 million on a new high school was simply not in the interest of education or fiscal health for the City. A leading member of the successful group was the renewed Hoboken Republican Party led by Chairman Joseph Branco and augmented by Young Republican Chair Pavel Sokolov.

Kids Belong in School or the School of their Choice

Ridgewood NJ, seems politicians learned NOTHING from the first rounds of Covid. So now, with the holiday break over, and time to get kids back in the classroom, and after taxpayers shelled out about $190 billion in ransom payments to the teachers unions to get them to, you know, teach, 2,200 schools are closed today.  And guess what: they are almost all in blue states and blue cities.

Bloomberg Philanthropies to Spend $750 Million on Public Charter Schools

Academy of the Holy Angels Celebrates its 142nd Anniversary

Demarest NJ, The Academy of Holy Angels community hosted a memorable Feast Day celebration in honor of the Academy’s 142nd anniversary. Bishop Michael Saporito presided at the October 1 Liturgy, where he commissioned several new Eucharistic Ministers. He also provided a special blessing for the new AHA Middle School, which opened to Grades 6-8 on September 10.

Dance Camp Jump-starts the Season for Holy Angels Teams

Demarest NJ,  This summer’s Universal Dance Association Camp provided an exciting jump-start for the Academy of the Holy Angels dance teams’ 2021-22 season. Notably, this was the first event for the brand new AHA Middle School Dance Team, whose members attended the Pennsylvania-based event with the renowned varsity and junior varsity teams. 

AHA Head Dance Coach Jenny Sweet noted that each dancer learned two evaluation routines and took four master classes from professionals in the dance industry. In addition, participants took part in team-building classes and activities.
