Borough of Glen Rock Shuttle Bus Vandalized in Main Line Train Station Parking Lot

Glen Rock NJ, on Monday February 7th at 10:38 AM , the Borough of Glen Rock shuttle bus driver reported that the Glen Rock Community Shuttle was entered through an unlocked rear door while parked in the Main Line Train Station Lot, this occurred between February 4th and February 7th.  Multiple items inside the bus were vandalized by person(s) unknown.

Fair Lawn NJ , on Thursday February 10th at 3:16 pm the Fair Lawn Police Detective Bureau, after receiving information of illicit activity, sent an undercover officer into CW Body Works Therapy, 7-09 Fair Lawn Avenue, and arrested Qiufeng Wang, age 57 of Fair Lawn, after she offered the officer a sexual act.  She was released after being charged with prostitution.

Ridgewood Water Well Head Public Scoping Notice

Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood has contacted the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to legalize an after-the-fact diversion of roughly 100 square feet of Maple and Graydon Parks (Block 3209, Lots 1 and 3; 259 N Maple Avenue and 200 Northern Pkwy) in connection with the past installation of a wellhead necessary for the continued functioning of the Village’s water system. Additionally, Ridgewood requested a .029-acre subsurface diversion to allow for the connection of the new well to the existing water lines.

Driver Loses Control and Hits House in Saddle Brook

Saddle Brook NJ, the adult female driver of a 4-door Acura TLX sedan was injured on Sunday afternoon, 02/20, when her vehicle crashed into residential structure located in the 300 block of Schepis Avenue, in Saddle Brook. Saddle Brook Fire Department, Saddle Brook Police, Saddle Brook EMS, Saddle Brook OEM, Elmwood Park Fire Department, and Hackensack Fire Department personnel and equipment responded to the incident. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A construction sub-code official from the Township of Saddle Brook also responded to the scene. No information was provided by police at the scene as to what caused the driver to lose control and crash her vehicle.

New Jersey Redistricting Map Passes by a 9-2 Margin

Trenton NJ, New Jersey Legislative Apportionment Commission finalized a deal for a redistricting  map for the next decade, acknowledging some hits a few longtime incumbents will suffer, but referring to core virtues attained in a civil bipartisan outcome: a history-making completely bipartisan product. The commission claims that unlike past redistricting , no single side – Republican or Democrat – could claim total victory, or hang heads in complete defeat. The new map passed 9-2, with members Tom Kean, Jr. (a Republican) and Cosmo Cirilo (a Democrat) voting no on the 11-member commission.

Academy of the Holy Angels Dancers Score Medals, Top Ten Finishes at Nationals

Demarest NJ,  Academy of the Holy Angels dancers fuse grace and grit to consistently power to the top of the Universal Dance Association High School National Championship. This year, the varsity dancers earned a silver medal in small varsity hip-hop, finishing second in a field of 37 of the nation’s best teams. Varsity also earned a bronze for finishing third out of 57 teams in small varsity pom.
