Ridgewood NJ, Stellar Pizza is a new pizza-making robot launched by three ex-SpaceX engineers. The pizzeria can make, bake, and top a pizza in under five minutes. It can fit on the back of a truck and be deployed anywhere. Customers can order from a menu or create their own pizzas. The foodservice industry is currently facing a global shortage of labor that is expected to worsen over the next decade. Automated solutions like Stella Pizza provide a cost-effective way to fill unwanted positions in the food industry.

Hinchliffe Stadium Begins to Take Shape

Paterson NJ, yes it is finally really happening,  in October 2019 the Paterson’s City Council approved an agreement with developers for a renovation that could save the historic landmark during an Oct. 1 meeting. The roughly $76-million project is expected to turn the stadium into a 7,800-seat athletic facility, with a 314-space parking garage, restaurant with museum exhibits dedicated to Negro League baseball, 75-unit apartment building for senior citizens and a 5,800-square-foot childcare facility. EDA still needs to authorize the $49.9 million state tax credits for the $76.7 million project.

Hackensack Meridian Health Now Requires Proof of Vaccination or a Negative COVID-19 test Result will be Required to Visit Patients

Hackensack NJ, As of December 28, 2021, all visitors to inpatient units at Hackensack Meridian Health must show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID PCR or antigen test result (within 72 hours). Home tests will not be accepted as they cannot be validated. Special exceptions will be made for end-of-life care, labor & delivery, emergency room care, pediatrics and other circumstances.

Ridgewood NJ, Village Calendars for 2022 should be delivered to all Ridgewood residences during the first full week of January – The Village calendar lists all sanitation, recycling, and yard waste pickups (spring through early fall). In addition, all meetings of the Village Council, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Library Board of Trustees are listed on the calendar; and the Holidays that Village offices are closed are also listed.  The January 2022 calendar is also found in the 2021 calendar, on the page after the December calendar.

New Bulk Pickup Rules Go into Effect in the Village of Ridgewood on January 1st

Ridgewood NJ, beginning January 1, 2022, each household is limited to putting out a maximum of 7 items on bulk pickup day. This will reduce the amount of bulk refuse being put into the landfills, which will save the Village money.  We request that you consider donating usable items to a non-profit or charity.  One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.  If you have more than 7 items to be picked up, you may request a special pick up from the Village, by calling 201-670-5579.  An extra fee will be charged for the special pick up, per Village ordinance.

Christmas Tree Pickup in Ridgewood Begins on January 4th

Ridgewood NJ, Christmas Tree Pickup – The Parks Division will be picking up Christmas trees, with a Tuesday/Eastside and Thursday/Westside pattern with trees being picked up on the Eastside of the Village curbside, not in the street on Tuesdays, January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. Trees will then be picked up on the Westside of the Village curbside, not in the street on Thursdays, January 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. Please remove all ornaments and lights from the Christmas trees and do not place the tree in a plastic bag.
