Dr. Scott Atlas disputes COVID-19 fear mongering tactics from US health officials

SAN DIEGO (KUSI), As coronavirus cases continue to increase across the United States, health officials and Democrat politicians seem to be using that statistic to fear monger and justify closure orders.

Dr. Scott Atlas of the Hoover Institute, discussed why we don’t need to be scared of the increase spread of coronavirus on Good Morning San Diego with KUSI’s Paul Rudy.

Atlas said that he has done more than a superficial analysis of the numbers, and after analyzing them, he doesn’t get scared.

Rutgers University : Most classes to be delivered remotely with limited in-person instruction

New Brunswick NJ, The fall semester at Rutgers University will combine a majority of remotely delivered courses with a limited number of in-person classes, President Jonathan Holloway said today.

The decision was not made easily or hastily, Holloway said, but was made due to the uncertainty regarding the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the increase in cases in other areas of the country and in consultation with public health experts and university leaders.

Ridgewood NJ, according to  the Bergen Recorrd a co-founder of Ridgewood for Black Liberation and her attorney are calling for state, county and local officials to investigate the Ridgewood Police Department after she was arrested during an Independence Day march. Thria Margareth Bernabe, 22, was arrested Saturday while participating in a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest in Ridgewood, her hometown. She is scheduled to appear in Ridgewood municipal court July 23.

Lucky Brand Dungarees Runs Out of Luck

Ridgewood NJ, The coronavirus pandemic has led another retailer to filing for bankruptcy. Lucky Brand Dungarees LLC, which has about 200 Lucky Brand stores in North America and sells its products in department stores, announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Friday with plans to sell the equity-backed business to the SPARC Group, operator of Aéropostale and Nautica.

Everyone knows that staying hydrated is one of the most important ways of maintaining wellness. There are many benefits to staying hydrated, including higher energy levels, maximizing physical performance, and avoiding headaches.

But, does the amount of water a person should drink, change with the seasons? Should you drink more during the summer months?

“Typically, in the warmer spring and summer months people sweat more,” says Dr. Anne Park, D.O., a primary care physician at Hackensack Meridian Medical Group, who specializes in nutrition and obesity. “Dehydration can cause your blood pressure to drop, which can make you feel like you are driving with an empty tank,” explains Dr. Park.

COVID19 Will Change Education Forever

Ridgewood NJ, the coronavirus pandemic and now social unrest  has changed the way students will learn. Colleges have closed their campuses , classes have  moved online. The age range for effective online or remote learning has been greatly expanded, some suggesting even as young as middle school would benefit from a more focused remote learning environment especially given the irrationality of some of the social unrest.  Some of these changes will be temporary, but others may be permanent.

One Arrest ,as Another “Black Lives Matter” Protest Hits Downtown Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood was once again the scene of another “Black Lives Matter” protests . It is being reported that there was one arrest for disrupting traffic at the corner of North Broad and East Ridgewood.  The demonstration was “otherwise peaceful “.   The Protesters marched up and Down Ridgewood Avenue  and also protested in front of the Ridgewood police station.

A few observation: while we are firm believers in Free Speech  unlike many in the Village , Free Speech carries with it responsibility and consequences , ask Muhammad Ali .While we commend the children for being active and engaged, we are once again concerned over the use of young people to score political points.  Some Ridgewood moms tried to compare the arrests to Selma ,saying, “I’m sure they told Selma protesters to stay out of the street/off the bridge too! “. In Selma the Democrats used dogs and water cannons, and the police beat protesters with night sticks . One of the signs read ,”have you ever been f-ed by the system” , folks Ridgewood is the system  , and you are living a pretty easy life .

Today is an unusual day, unlike many July 4th’s of years past.

What happened to all of our unalienable Rights, the ones written 244 years ago in our Declaration of Independence of July 4th, 1776, including Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness?  Well, maybe today is not so unusual, as never before do we have more of our unalienable Rights as we do today.

Life – we are alive, there never has been more live Americans in existance, our life expectancy and health standards have never been historically higher as human beings, and the sacrifices those are making on the front lines and the ones everyone else are making like quarantining and social distancing is helping to further increase the lives of others.

Dressing up is something that most of us look forward to every day, and wearing quality attire like Swanndri clothing can make the experience even more enjoyable. Every dilemma would be; should I wear a dress? Or put my cardigan? How about trousers? And many more choices that we need to make in our everyday lives. What you wear reflects your personality and attitude. It is a personal expression of a person’s beauty and strength. It gives us confidence and also helps us to fit in or stand out from the crowd. However, few people have a mindset that you can’t be considered as fashionable if you don’t have money to buy branded clothes, or if you only wear cheap pieces. On this day, 244 years ago, the Second Continental Congress voted to adopt the Declaration of Independence. Even though they had already declared independence two days earlier, the American people were so moved by the Declaration that thereafter July 4th became our birthday. Happy Birthday America!

Governor Murphy Preps For Major NJ State Worker Furloughs

Trenton NJ,  Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation (A4132) which would modify the State’s shared work program and change eligibility for the State’s unemployment insurance program. Earlier this week the bill was returned to the Legislature with recommended changes necessary to facilitate furloughs in lieu of layoffs. The Legislature today concurred with the Governor’s conditional veto.
