Ridgewood NJ, ParkMobile, the company that operates Ridgewood’s mobile parking app, announced in March it was investigating a cybersecurity incident linked to a vulnerability in a third-party software.

The company published a notification on Mar. 26 about “a cybersecurity incident linked to a vulnerability in a third-party software that we use.”

New Jersey Small Business Disappointed by Slow Reopening Plan

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey still does not have a plan to reopen.  Meanwhile, yesterday Governor Cuomo announced people can get served at bars in New York City beginning Monday and that outdoor and indoor dining curfews for bars and restaurants in the city will both be lifted by the end of May.  Disappointingly, this week Governor Murphy only announced that  indoor room capacities would increase to 50 percent for certain venues such as weddings, school proms, political events, funerals and performances starting on May 10.  New Jersey’s indoor dining is still capped at 50% and bar sitting is prohibited.

Village Council members just agreed to introduce and approve an ordinance in the very near future that will prohibit the establishment/operation of any business engaged in the cultivation, manufacture, sale, or delivery of cannabis products anywhere within Village limits.

Ridgewood NJ, Village Council members Wednesday night resoundingly rejected a plan to relocate the Village’s bus terminal from Van Neste Square to Wilsey Square, citing the proposed elimination of 17 municipal parking spaces (at Wilsey Square) in conjunction with such a plan as their major concern.

Ridgewood Parks & Recreation Day Camp will run in 2021

Ridgewood NJ, according to Councilwoman Bernadette Walsh, who is the Village Council liaison to the Parks & Rec Conservation Board and the Field Committee, the Parks & Recreation Department is happy to announce that Summer Day Camp will return this year.  While there may still be some changes to the camp, we can confirm that it will run from Tuesday, June 29-Friday, August 6 from 9 am-1:30 pm with the exception of days when it rains and camp is cancelled.  Campers will be placed in groups with a 20:2 ratio or less.  Summer Camp will still consist of organized games, arts & crafts, and swim time at Graydon Pool.

Village of Ridgewood Updates Parking Regulations

Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood announces changes to Village parking regulations effective May 1st . In an email the Village Manager Heather A. Mailander explained the changes:

RESIDENTIAL PARKING AND OVERNIGHT RESIDENTIAL PARKING

Effective May 1, 2021, all residential parking regulations will be enforced. This also includes the prohibition of overnight parking on the street, throughout the Village, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
