Ridgewood NJ, recent Ridgewood protests have brought into focus the group  “Black Lives Matter” and what its all about . While it’s a catchy phrase and few would argue with it  ,the Ridgewood blog is a bit confused with the message .  When an unarmed black man is murdered by a white Police officer , “Black Lives Matter”.

But where they lose a lot of people is with the messages inconsistency. Most American have heard of George Floyd, the African American man who was the victim of egregious use of lethal force by police in Minneapolis , but we do not know the name of even one of 87 African Americans who were shot in Chicago on the July 4th weekend ?  By the way 13 were children and 17 died. So did those  “Black Lives Matter”  as well ? Or should they change the name of the movement to , “Only Certain Black Lives Matter”, or “Black Lives Matter Only When it’s Convenient “.

JULY 17, 2020
To Ridgewood Central Business District Businesses:
As you know, the Central Business District Welcome Back to Ridgewood event creates a pedestrian mall by closing streets from North Walnut Street to Broad Street every Saturday and Sunday. Every other weekend there have been about fifty protesters from Ridgewood 4 Black Liberation gathering, marching, yelling and using bullhorns. Although disruptive, the demonstrations, comprised primarily of Ridgewood residents, have been mostly peaceful. Unfortunately, some protesters have physically tried to grab customers sitting in chairs or otherwise harass CBD patrons. On July 4th, one of the protesters was arrested for obstructing traffic.

Ridgewood NJ, Concern over mail-in balloting is rising as the presidential election approaches. Last month, we highlighted California Governor Gavin Newsom’s brazen mail-in ballot scam: an executive order mandating mail-in ballots “to preserve public health in the face of the threat of Covid-19.” Judicial Watch challenged the executive order in federal court, prompting the state legislature to pass a law ensuring that mail-in balloting would take place.

In June in a response to an Open Public Records Act request to the Bergen County Clerk’s Office  it was discovered that 710 Ridgewood voter ballots or approximately 15% were REJECTED in connection with the May 12, 2020 Board of Education, Board of Education Budget, and Village Council General Election.

Bari Weiss Quits in a Huff From New York Times Opinion Post

nyt 960x600 c center

Dear A.G.,

It is with sadness that I write to tell you that I am resigning from The New York Times.

I joined the paper with gratitude and optimism three years ago. I was hired with the goal of bringing in voices that would not otherwise appear in your pages: first-time writers, centrists, conservatives and others who would not naturally think of The Times as their home. The reason for this effort was clear: The paper’s failure to anticipate the outcome of the 2016 election meant that it didn’t have a firm grasp of the country it covers. Dean Baquet and others have admitted as much on various occasions. The priority in Opinion was to help redress that critical shortcoming.
