Englewood Man Charged with Money Laundering over $5 Million in Narcotics Proceeds

Englewood NJ, A Bergen County, New Jersey, man made his initial court appearance today on charges of conspiring to commit money laundering, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Ramfis Minaya, 23, of Englewood, New Jersey, is charged by complaint with one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. He appeared by videoconference today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Leda Dunn Wettre.

Englewood NJ, At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, basketball trainer Ryan Ang of Ang1 Trainings  took his basketball training skills online. He is the youngest basketball trainer in New Jersey and 

possibly the whole country. Ryan Ang has been featured on USA Today, People Magazine,  People TV, ABC7 EyeWitness News New York, Northjersey.com and many more media 

platforms. He was not featured on those media platforms because he is the youngest basketball  trainer, but was featured because of his innovative idea of online live basketball training 

sessions.

Englewood Man Arrested in $1.5 Million Investment Fraud Scheme

Englewood NJ, A Bergen County, New Jersey, man was arrested today for his alleged role in an investment scheme that fraudulently obtained $1.525 million from at least three families from 2017 through 2019, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Matthew Benjamin, 53, of Englewood, New Jersey, is charged by complaint with two counts of wire fraud and one count of securities fraud. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance today by videoconference before U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor.

Englewood NJ,Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the ongoing investigation of a homicide and an attempted murder that occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Englewood, NJ. The Englewood Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in the vicinity of the intersection of 2nd Street and 4th Street. Responding officers found multiple individuals in the roadway who had attended a gathering at a residence on 2nd Street.

Jennie Frias, a/k/a “Jennie Castillo,” 36, of Englewood, New Jersey, pleaded guilty by teleconference before U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty to an information charging her with one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

Englewood NJ, A Bergen County, New Jersey, woman has been charged for her role in a conspiracy that involved the creation of false documentation to secure over $4 million dollars in bank loans, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Jennie Frias, a/k/a “Jennie Castillo,” 36, of Englewood, New Jersey, was charged by complaint with one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Frias had her initial appearance Sept. 25, 2019, before U.S. Magistrate Judge James B. Clark III in Newark federal court and was released on a $100,000 unsecured bond.

ENGLEWOOD MAN CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF MURDER

Englewood NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Pawel M. Boduch (DOB: 06/30/1975; single; unemployed) of 113 Lafayette Place, Englewood, N.J. on charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Lawrence Suffern.

On Saturday, February 16, 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that two individuals were found deceased inside a Lafayette Place home. The decedents were subsequently identified as the home’s residents; Edward Boduch, 71 years old, and his wife, Miroslawa Potocka, 72 years old. Both were victims of homicide and each suffered multiple apparent stab wounds. The third occupant of the residence, their son Pawel M. Boduch, was not home at the time police discovered the bodies.
