Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announces locations for the next two weeks of the Bergen County Regional Community Testing Program which is available to all county residents thanks to a partnership between the County of Bergen and Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. All testing locations this fall will offer COVID-19 saliva tests and flu vaccinations.

Bergen County has finally certified the county votes from the Primary Election held on July 7th. Combining Bergen with Sussex and Warren counties Frank Pallotta beat out 3 other candidates in his first run for public office.

Arati earned 26,432 votes (33.52%) after narrowing the margin significantly by averaging 45% of the vote in late vote-by-mail ballots and on Election Day. Arati earned the most votes of any Democratic primary challenger to an incumbent representative in at least the last decade in New Jersey.

Glen Rock Fire Brings In Multiple Towns to Assist

Glen Rock NJ, At 1834 hours on Monday, the Glen Rock Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke on the second floor of a residence on the Boulevard. A second alarm was transmitted in route by 830 upon reports by GRPD of a heavy smoke condition. The main fire area was in the attic space of the home. Crews used a combination of interior and exterior attacks to bring the fire under control. Thanks to all mutual aid towns, including Hawthorne, Fair Lawn, Ridgewood, Midland Park, Paramus, Waldwick, Wyckoff and Elmwood Park. Also thanks to the GRVAC and Glen Rock Police for on scene assistance as well as Northwest and Central Bergen Mutual Aid coordinators and safety officers.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police report a Godwin Avenue resident responded to Ridgewood Police headquarters on October 14, 2019 to report a fraud. The victim reported he received a phone call and was convinced to provide personal information to the actor who impersonated a federal agent. The victim reported he provided his social security number to the fraudulent caller. The victim was advised of the precautions to take after providing personal information.
