Multi Vehicle Accident Slows Rush Hour Traffic on Route 208 in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, A multi-vehicle Tuesday evening, 10/05, collision, in which one (1) vehicle rolled on its roof, slowed rush hour traffic on Route 208 southbound in Glen Rock. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, and Glen Rock EMS units responded to the incident, which occurred south of the Lincoln Avenue overpass. Hawthorne Police assisted with traffic control. Two (2) damaged vehicles were removed from the scene by flatbed tow trucks. Glen Rock firefighters attended to a crash related fluid spill.

Demarest NJ, The Academy of Holy Angels community hosted a memorable Feast Day celebration in honor of the Academy’s 142nd anniversary. Bishop Michael Saporito presided at the October 1 Liturgy, where he commissioned several new Eucharistic Ministers. He also provided a special blessing for the new AHA Middle School, which opened to Grades 6-8 on September 10.

Repairs to Hurricane Ida Damaged Maple Park and Vets Field in Ridgewood will cost $135K

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday night, October 6, the Village Council is scheduled to award contracts totaling $135k for repairs to the artificial turf at Maple Park ($113k) and natural grass at Vets Field ($22k).  These expenses will NOT be covered by insurance.

Twp . of Washington NJ, MOSQUITO SPRAYING TOMORROW – 10/6/21 – The BC Mosquito Control will be performing an early morning ULV Truck Spray in the Township on Wednesday October 6, 2021 between the hours of 4-6 AM. They will be spraying duet adulticide to eliminate active, adult mosquitoes as well as Vectobac larvacide to help control the mosquito larvae. As a precaution, please keep your windows closed.
