We will explore the City’s history from the creation of the land, approximately 250 million years ago, the first inhabitants (Paleo-Indians through Lenape), the Early European Settlements, the Revolution War, the establishment of the S.U.M., and the major industries that made Paterson world renowned, Silk, Locomotives and Airplane Engine production. An examination of the technologies and people behind these great industries will be highlighted. The talk will conclude with the designation of the National Historical Park and the current developments.

Atlantic City NJ, the New Jersey State Police Aviation Unit and Office of Emergency Management conducted a flyover with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). NJDEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette was on hand to survey any damage that may have been caused by the remnants of tropical storms our coastline has experienced during this hurricane season. It was also an opportunity to look forward to what the winter season may look like for the Jersey Shore.

Fraudsters Spoof Saddle Police Phone Number in “Outstanding Warrant” Phone Scam

Saddle River Nj, the Saddle River Police Department Detective Bureau has become aware of a fraud scam utilizing (spoofing) the Saddle River Police main phone number  (201)327-5300. The caller claims to be “Detective Cooper” and will tell you that you have an active outstanding warrant, they may even provide you with a warrant number.  They ask you if you have been to Texas. While the may sound believable , please do not respond to the fraudsters questions and hang up. Call the main number for the Saddle River Police to confirm. If you have been a victim of this fraud attempt please contact [email protected] with pertinent information.

Spot Light On First Responders: Waldwick Fire and Saddle River Fire Team Up to Extinguish a Dangerous Motor Home Fire on 17 North

Waldwick NJ, last week Waldwick Fire and Saddle River Fire teamed up to extinguish a motor home that caught fire on Route 17 northbound in Waldwick both departments were dispatched to the call. Route 17 northbound at Sheridan & south was completely shut down ,Three propane tanks were removed from the vehicle Bergen County Haz Mat also responded The highway was closed for up to an hour due to the propane tanks leaking. Saddle River Police Department and Waldwick Police Department secured  the highway , ensuring scene safety.

Hasbrouck Heights Police Officer Hit With A Bottle Breaking Up an Underage Drinking Party

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, a Hasbrouck Heights Police officer was injured while breaking up a party of underage drinkers at a residence in the borough. The officer was responding to a noise complaint and ended up being injured during the situation. It’s clear from the statements made by Hasbrouck Heights Police Chief Joseph Rinke that the department takes this matter very seriously and is committed to prosecuting those responsible to the fullest extent of the law. Charges have already been filed against Mr. Joshua Daniels and Mrs. Cynthia Daniels for allowing underage alcohol consumption, and there are additional charges pending, including Aggravated Assault against a Police Officer and Criminal Mischief. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal actions may be taken based on its outcome.
