Hello! Over the weekend, the NJ Star Ledger published an article titled “Turf Wars Raging as N.J. Residents Face Off Over Replacing Grass with Artificial Fields.” Additionally, CBS News New York visited Ridgewood yesterday and covered the topic in their evening news segment and put it over social media (1+million followers), highlighting the ongoing battles surrounding artificial turf fields in New Jersey communities. Ridgewood NJ, Over the next several days, Ridgewood Water is working hard to complete more than a dozen lead service line replacements on Beechwood Road ahead of the scheduled road paving. Working in collaboration with PSE&G’s contractor, the paving is being rescheduled for the end of next week to provide our crews with enough time to complete all of the service line replacements. The replacements and paving should be completed by Friday August 18th. We thank the residents of Beechwood Road for their patience while we work to rehabilitate these service lines and bring a smoother road surface to this neighborhood, as well as thank PSE&G for collaborating with us to allow this important work to be completed.

Ridgewood NJ, so this weekend was the first weekend since the pedestrian mall was discontinued and the central business district was jumping . The village seemed to have its old swagger back . Customers seemed to be able to find parking spaces , the annual sidewalk sale seemed to draw them in in big numbers . Takeout , pickup and drop off flourished. The weather moderated and many local merchants made their numbers for the first time in a while. All the amazing events in Van Neste park are still taking place and many restaurants saw overflow crowds in the evening.
