The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert M. Paramus NJ, Bergen Community College’s technology solutions partner, Ellucian and its charitable foundation, have awarded the institution a $25,000 block grant to support 50 currently enrolled students’ basic needs such as tuition, housing expenses and textbooks. Accepted through the 501(c)(3) Bergen Community College Foundation, Ellucian awarded the $400,000 Progress, Accomplishment, Thriving, Hope (PATH) Scholarship to 25 college partners such as Bergen.

Paramus NJ, Tesla has told suppliers it wants to start production of a new electric vehicle in mid-2025. Codenamed ‘Redwood’, the next-generation vehicle is expected to drive a new wave of growth. Tesla has forecasted a weekly production volume of 10,000 vehicles. The new vehicle may be the entry-level $25,000 car that Elon Musk first promised to build in 2020. Tesla plans to make an inexpensive robotaxi based on the same vehicle architecture as the $25,000 electric car.

Paramus NJ, Bergen Community College and Thomas Edison State University (TESU) have established an articulation agreement that makes the pathway to a baccalaureate degree easier for Bergen graduates. A memorandum of understanding signed by both college presidents during the fall semester creates transfer pathways that allow students to complete as many as three years or 90 credits at Bergen before transferring to TESU to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Lorry crossed pedestrians at Spring Valley Road and Forest Avenue with a smile each and every day. Governor joined Stew Leonard Junior and other dignitaries to pardon “Travis” the Turkey. Travis’s girlfriend “Taylor” the Turkey is also being pardoned this week at Stew Leonard’s Newington. They will live out their days together at a Farm sanctuary in Connecticut.

Platkin and the Division of Consumer Affairs (“the Division”) announced today that a now-defunct New Jersey cosmetology school and its related entities have agreed to pay nearly $640,000 – a majority of which will be used for consumer restitution – to resolve the State’s lawsuit alleging they defrauded students and engaged in substandard business practices that financially harmed students. In a separate settlement with the State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling (“the Board”), the school also agreed to surrender its licenses to operate in New Jersey.
