Paramus NJ, A Wednesday afternoon, 08/19, rollover crash on Route 17 northbound in Paramus resulted in only minor injuries, but slowed traffic in both directions of the busy highway. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, and Paramus EMS personnel responded to the incident. A Paramus Police Emergency Services Unit righted the overturned SUV and moved it to the side of the roadway in order to improve traffic flow. At least two (2) other vehicles were damaged in the crash.

Paramus NJ,around 8 am this morning a small group of Black Lives Matter protesters set up signs on Linwood Avenue on the Parkway overpass on the border of Ridgewood , Twp of Washington and Paramus . The Twp. of Washington Police responded with in minutes with two police cruisers . One sign was draped over the fence for Garden State Parkway traffic to see and another large sign was facing on coming traffic .

Fair lawn NJ, a high speed pursuit of an allegedly stolen vehicle terminated in a crash at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Plaza Road North, Fair Lawn on Wednesday afternoon, 07/22. Five (5) vehicles, including the one being pursued, were involved in the collision; all were removed from the scene by multiple flatbed tow trucks. At least two (2) crash victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulances. Paramus Police took two (2) adults, a male and a female, into custody. No police officers appeared to have been injured in the incident. Fair Lawn Fire Department extinguished an engine compartment fire in one (1) of the wrecked cars. Police officers from several local agencies converged on the scene to assist to aid the injured, and to help with crowd and traffic control.

Paramus NJ, after heavy thunder storms we often post photos of trees down in Ridgewood and Glen Rock but Sunday nights storms seemed to hit Paramus exceptionally hard. Paramus Police and Fire Department were operating in the area of Roosevelt Blvd where numerous wires, trees and poles were taken down during a severe thunder storm this afternoon. Paramus NJ, A rolled over truck blocked the exit ramp from the Garden State Parkway southbound to Route 17 southbound in Paramus during rush hour on Monday morning, 07/06. The truck’s driver self extricated prior to the arrival of emergency responders. Injuries were reported to be non life threatening in nature; one (1) person was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Paramus Police, Paramus Fire Department, and Paramus EMS assisted NJ State Police Bloomfield Barracks troopers at the scene. The truck appeared to have been larger than the Parkway’s current weight limit for commercial vehicles; police at the scene did not say whether any summonses would be issued to the driver.

As we continually reassess how best to serve our communities and heal some of the divisions in our society, this Directive is one part of our effort to improve the procedures which guide and discipline our profession. This Directive is intended to address disparities in the way Bergen County police agencies conduct internal affairs (“IA”) investigations as well as the uneven level of discipline imposed on police officers among the various agencies.

Paramus NJ, A segment of northbound Paramus Road, Paramus was temporarily closed on Friday morning, 06/19, after a flatbed truck carrying building materials struck a large overhead telephone trunk line cable and knocked it to the ground. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Engine Company #3 responded to the incident. No injuries were reported and the truck appeared to have sustained no damage.

Paramus NJ, Paramus Police report they have been experiencing numerous thefts from vehicles during the overnight hours in the neighborhoods East and West of Forest Ave between Midland Ave and Ridgewood Ave. Most of the incidents are occurring between 2:00 am hours and 6:30 am. In most of the reported incidents there is one subject observed wearing all dark clothing, with his/her face covered, carrying a satchel across his body and possibly black Nike sneakers with white accent. Paramus NJ, The driver of a Subaru Outback sustained minor injuries during a rollover crash on the Garden State Parkway southbound in Paramus on Wednesday afternoon, 05/06. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, Paramus Fire Engine Companies #1 and #3, NJSP Bloomfield Barracks, Washington Township Police, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital responded to the incident. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A flatbed tow truck righted and removed the wrecked Subaru from the roadway.

Paramus NJ, At least one (1) person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital following a Monday morning, 05/04, rear end crash in front of 186 Paramus Road, Paramus, in which a BMW sedan plowed into a Ford Windstar van. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Company #3 responded to the incident. Two (2) flatbed tow trucks removed the wrecked vehicles. Paramus Police uniformed and plainclothes officers conducted a thorough search of the BMW before it was towed away.

Paramus NJ, medics revived a Ridgewood man at the scene of a multi-car crash on Route 4 on Tuesday using Narcan. The Tuesday multi-car crash on Route 4 resulted in the arrest of a Ridgewood man who was charged with DWI, and possession of what appeared to be heroin. In addition to DWI and possession, Brennan was also charged with aggravated assault by motor vehicle, reckless driving and possession of a fraudulent driver’s license.

Paramus NJ, Route 17 was closed in both direction on Wednesday after a tractor trailer caught fire in front of Pier 1 across from the Fireplace at the Ridgewood Avenue exit. There may have been interruption in telephone, cable and electrical service. Wires were down causing heavy delays . It appears the truck careened off the highway hitting a utility pole.
