Ridgewood Police Interrupt Deer Date

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police Patrol Officer Michael Karcher was dispatched to the Hopper Ridge Condominium property at approximately Noon on Tuesday, 11/22, in response to a resident’s telephone call reporting a doe trapped in a retention pond area. Assisted by an employee of Tyco Animal Control, Officer Karcher determined that the doe was not trapped, but was hiding in the area due to the presence of a large buck nearby. The doe was able to successfully escape from the area shortly thereafter, with the buck in chase.

Fair lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to take care of two injured patients who’s vehicle struck a utility pole. According to the Fair Lawn Police , the crash occurred on Plaza Road and was a one vehicle accident , “A picture is worth a thousand words”

Tesla Recalls 321,000 vehicles due safety issue

Ridgewood NJ,  Tesla (TSLA)  revealed it is recalling 321,000 vehicles due to a safety issue.

In a filing posted over the weekend on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website, the automaker said some Tesla Model 3 sedans and Model Y SUVs had an issue that caused the tail lamps to “intermittently illuminate,” meaning poor visibility on the road in some instances. According to Tesla  the brake lights were not affected by the issue.

Ridgewood Firefighters Free Driver from Car After Crash Near Glen School

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police issued one (1) summons in connection with a Monday afternoon, 11/21, two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of East Glen Avenue and Van Emburgh Avenue, Ridgewood, in which the driver of a 4-door Toyota Camry sedan involved in the crash had to be extricated from her vehicle by Ridgewood firefighters. The victim was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus with non life threatening injuries. A flatbed tow truck removed the damaged Camry from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Washington Township Police assisted with traffic control.

Allendale Says No to Cell Pole Sighting Too Many Variances

Allendale NJ, the borough’s Land Use Board denied an application to install a second cell pole 172 feet from the first one, off West Crescent Avenue after two hearings this week. “I’m concerned with the number of variances,” Chairman Kevin Quinn told the Bergen Record . “If it was the right plan it wouldn’t need so many.” That’s nine variances in total requested to install the pole .
