Demarest NJ, Five top vocalists from Holy Angels will represent the Academy at the 2024 Carnegie Hall Honors Performance Series. Martine Alvarez of Chestnut Ridge (New York), Haedyn Brigati of Englewood Cliffs, Alyssa Finch of River Vale, Lilianna Garber of Mahwah, and Kiera Kwiatkowski of Glen Ridge successfully auditioned for the upcoming High School Honors Women’s Choir. Together with peers from around the globe, they will work with a renowned conductor to put together a mid-winter concert at this world-famous venue.

Suspect Apprehended After Foot Chase by Multiple Police Agencies in Englewood Cliffs

Englewood Cliffs NJ, on 12/04/2023 at approximately 2:25 p.m., the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department contacted  Englewood Cliffs Police Department headquarters requesting assistance in apprehending a suspect who fled from their officers on foot. Various witnesses reported sightings of the suspect in the area of Floyd Street and Hollywood Avenue.

FedEx Ground Delivery Truck Slams Into a Utility Pole in Ho-Ho-Kus

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, FedEx Ground delivery truck slammed head on into a utility pole at the intersection of Deerhill Drive and Wearimus Road, Ho-Ho-Kus just prior to 12 noon on Friday, 12/08. The vehicle’s driver sustained a minor facial injury in the incident, but refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. Ho-Ho-Kus Police, Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, and Ho-Ho-Kus EMS responded to the incident along with crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division. Wearimus Road was temporarily closed between East Saddle River Road and Powderhorn Drive while PSE&G crews worked to replace a downed pole and restore electric service.

Paramus Park Mall Targeted for Major Housing Development

Paramus NJ, On Thursday, the borough Planning Board granted approval to R&O Paramus, LLC’s proposal to construct approximately 360 apartments adjacent to the Paramus Park mall, situated west of the Garden State Parkway. The envisioned two-building complex is slated to occupy land north of the mall and certain sections of its parking lot, encompassing roughly 60,000 square feet beyond the Macy’s department store.
