Waldwick NJ,Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of RYAN MALILLO (DOB: 06/15/1986; single; mover) of Waldwick, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Waldwick Police Department under the direction of Chief Mark Messner.

Ridgewood NJ, at the annual AAA award luncheon, the Ridgewood Police Department received a Silver Award for our commitment to traffic safety. In addition to the Department award, Lt. Jay Chuck received the AAA Traffic Safety Hero Award for Operation Bright Idea. This initiative, introduces bright lighting to high pedestrian-used intersections for night time crossing safety. Since the inception of this program, every intersection that has been upgraded has had 0 pedestrian involved night crashes.

Midland Park Police Department: Cautions On Paving Company Soliciting Door-to-door

Midland Park NJ, Midland Park Police Department cautions residents to  please be aware of a paving company soliciting door-to-door. Permits are needed for paving or resurfacing the top layer of driveways in the Borough. The employees will explain that they will get a permit in the next few days, but they will not. Work performed is often subpar and it will be very difficult to contact the company when issues arise. Please use caution when dealing with unsolicited companies showing up at your door.

Wyckoff Residents Hit by “Bail Scam”

Wyckoff NJ, the Wyckoff Police Department has received multiple reports from residents that they have been contacted via phone by our Department in regards to “posting bail”. The caller tells the resident that their relative or loved one has been arrested, and they need to pay to have them released. They will typically demand that you pay this “bail” via Bitcoin or in the form of a digital gift card. This is not a legitimate call and is a common scam.
